It takes commitment and buy-in esp from the stars to play this way consistently. They have two above average passers in Ingles and Conley. Mitchell just grew into one. But everyone is willing to make that extra pass. They don't care who gets to shoot and who gets the points. I'm jealous.

I don't know what is preventing the Celtics from playing like this.

We do this one in 20 games. And maybe we just sort of chanced upon it and it was unintentional lol.

Read on Twitter

This guy is playing with Kyrie and Harden, supposed ISO artists and among the best, most efficient scorers in the league.

Only three instances where a Celtics player not named Smart/Kemba/Tatum/Brown got 13+ FGAs this season -- twice by Pritchard, once by Teague. All wins.

We suck. Don't be excited until coaching changes.
I don't believe in statistics. There are too many factors that can't be measured. You can't measure a ballplayer's heart. -Red Auerbach

Marcus Smart is an underrated shooter

They're both trying to figure out how to draw fouls on fadeaway jumpers.

Tatum especially seems to work actively to avoid contact.

I am dying of jealousy from watching the Jazz play. Just beautiful offense, propped up by even more terrific defense.

We've never looked this dominant in any of Brad Stevens' years as a head coach. I'm still waiting for that day, and it looks like it's never gonna come.

It's gonna come if Ainge gives Brad the right players.

We really can't expect the Celts to play like the Jazz if the players around Tatum and Brown are not very bright.

Just watch Grant Williams on offense and you know there's zero chance the Celts will play like a well-oiled machine.

In IT's last season as a Celtic, the Celts were #1 in the east and #4 in assists per game.

And to think that 2016-17 team only had IT and Horford as star players.

I want them to win it all. Basketball gods need to reward FOs that do it the right way and teams that play the right way once in a while. Hope all the superteams -- BKN, LAC, LAL -- lose.

We played several games like that last season, where we pass the ball fast and hit the open man. Last season against the Lakers and Clips, we blew them out. Hayward was one of the key players leading the charge. That was a beauty to watch. We don’t have enough playmakers now, that can also shoot the ball. Losing Hayward was big. Semi, Green and Teague gets his minutes now, that’s why we struggle. We have 4 all stars in the starting lineup last season, with Theis. All can actually score.

I envy their team for having that legit 7ft defensive presence in the middle. Someone that can defend the block without the need to double. Plus Gobert gets most of the rebounds. Our team needs to work extra hard to double on defense, while leaving others open. That’s our problem. We have too many undersized players.

What you're saying is absolutely true.

The problem is when you have 4 star players, one will become unhappy.

That happened to GSW when KD wanted to be the man.

Back to back championships was not enough to make KD happy.
KD wanted to be the man.

Just like Hayward wanted a team of his own.

Remember that just last year Gobert was throwing shades in public to his teammates for not passing and the Jazz looked like they were going to blow it up.

Might be just angst that went away after he got paid. Seems to be content just screen-and-rolling, catching lobs, and putting back misses.

I think it’s not that KD wanted to be the man. He knows he is the man on that team, and he is right. The problem with KD, is that no matter what he does, he would never be accepted by the fans, as compared to home grown guys in steph, klay and green. Plus that team, no matter how many fmvp’s he wins, will always be Steph’s team. I agree though Hayward wanted a bigger role. You can’t blame him though.

Losing to Denver in a close game 7, probably gave them added motivation. Plus clarkson and Ingles have been playing really good off the bench.

I think Lowry wanted to go to his hometown philly! That would make that team even stronger. While Danny wants us to improve internally lol!

I can't believe the Griz beat the Clips by 28 points and Kawhi and PG13 were playing.
