Kornet doesn't seem to have "officially" signed. But, we'll see how Camp goes over the next 3 weeks.

I could see Hauser while Amanda was interviewing another player, he was in the photo session.

I thought for a second Hayward was back on the team.

Looks like they're going to do what B Robb said they might do, shuttle different camp signings in and out of camp and try out different guys at different times

Also smells like a roster consolidating trade might be coming down the road.

You think so? -- I'd like to see Tatum go down to the SF, and Brown to the SG.
Though, IDK. Maybe they'll play the 4 and the 3, respectively.

Though, that would put 3 Ballhandlers on the 2nd Unit.
Unless Pritchard goes down to the 3rd Unit?

Proposed Rotation, 2021-22:
Starters: Smart - Brown - Tatum - Hernangómez - R. Williams
Rotation: Schröder - Richardson - Nesmith - G. Williams - Horford
Reserves: Pritchard - Langford - Fernando/Parker? - Kanter

I think that we have a logjam, at the 4.

Tatum
Hernangómez
G. Williams
Fernando
Parker
(Hauser)

Stevens, may look to balance this Roster a bit more?

I think it's gonna be Al. Ime made a comment recently about running the offense through Al. It's funny. I didn't agree with you earlier about having the Jay's "slide down" but I'm starting to think that you're gonna get your wish to start. Those Spurs teams that Ime was the assistant for that won the title in 2014 were so good with ball movement and efficiency in the halfcourt were catalyzed by excellent interior passing by their bigs. Horford and Williams starting in a double big lineup would make some sense if Ime plans to borrow the setup Coach Pop used. Al plays the Duncan role in the halfcourt on this team. Smart is Manu. JT is Tony Parker and Jaylen is Kawhi. Again for the purposes of comparison role in the offense here. But I think were gonna see a ton of tic-tac-toe passing and utilizing post entry much more often.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

Not enough shooting in the starting lineup if it’s Horford and Williams both. I think we’ll see Smart/Richardson/Brown/Tatum/Horford

But there will definitely be variations through the season from injuries and hot streaks.

That was my thought as well and why my initial thinking agreed with yours. But Ime talking about running everything through Horford has me thinking that maybe unselfish ball movement is more important to him than spacing the floor. That 2014 SAS didn't have elite level spacing but they sure as hell put you in rotation.

There are so many directions they could go with the starting lineup. They could start both Horford and Williams nd go big. They could start one of Horford/Williams and go one of Nesmith/Richardson at the wing. Or maybe they go smaller and plug in Schroder at guard and one of the bigs. All these configurations have their strengths and weaknesses.

Whats gonna be interesting is they can find lineups that can BOTH play top 5 defense and have enough spacing to make things easier for Tatum/Brown.

In one hand no one really knows who may start. But I really want Nesmith to earn that role. I still believe heavily in having a true shooting threat (if he can prove this and I think he can)... that... DOES NOT NEED TO TOUCH THE BALL!!!

I can not state that enough. Tatum and Brown both need a certain amount of shots, touches to get going. Just the threat of a high level shooter, who can in theory, switch out on most players is what I believe Boston has lacked in years..

Too many ball needy players fail way more than succeed. Look at how James Harden went scoring conservative and became a pass first facilitator just to keep KD and Kyrie going.

Nesmith, like Joe Harris, like Duncan Robinson, needs to fill that role. If he can't than move on to someone else of course.
