Ace Frehley passed away today. RIP to an absolute legend. Fun fact, my username is from the KISS song of the same name. It was blasting in my headphones when I registered here so I chose it as my handle. Thanks for the music Space Ace!

Are they planning on making Season 2? I haven't read the book, but I thought the first season followed the basic structure of the book which would mean no more direct source material? I may be misremembering what I read at the time when the first season came out. I would be pretty happy if they did make another season (the first season was fantastic). It would be pretty easy to write some new stories with these characters, a very rich history to base it on.

One of my all-time favorites is Man from Earth which is now playing on Prime. Unfortunately, I noticed they are also playing a sequel - Man From Earth Holocene - that was recently made. It is terrible. I regret ever hearing about it. Don’t watch. But do watch the first one if you are okay with bit actors just having an extended nerdy conversation. I think it still has a 100% Rotten Tomatoes rating.

Have you seen The Vast of Night? Nice little film.
The most charitable interpretation is that it's ethnic cleansing and massive war crimes.

Well, the scene in which Blackthorne is dying back in England with his grandchildren by his side isn't in the book. So there clearly was a plan in place to extend the story. William Adams, the historical figure who was the model for Blackthorne, never left Japan, although several of his Dutch compatriots were allowed to leave.

I have and enjoyed it. I like finding these off the beaten track gems.

Speaking of off the beaten track gems, The 317th Platoon (available on Amazon) is one of the best war movies ever made.
