The whole Bronny debacle is a sad state of affairs. By all means from what I’ve seen, the kid actually seems level headed and humble all things considered, but he’s been thrown into the most awkward can’t win situation from Day 1.

Then again. He’s going to make millions playing Ball due to his Father so it is what it is.

It's a desperate attempt by Lebron and the Lakers to be in the limelight since that organization is irrelevant.

I like that both of our picks are really solid rebounders. Brad's helping Joe work those margins.

Yeah, I really liked him. Suns got him on UDFA.

He's so far had two cracks at drafting a 1st rounder -- one turned into Walsh (who you seem to like) + future 2nds and this Belo guy. Don't really expect much out of 2nd rounders. Also harder to develop these guys on a championship team for lack of available playing time, which is a coaching concern anyway and not the POBO's job. Hauser, although not really drafted, can be chalked up to the win column.

I said, outside of how I feel about them, someone needs to show up on the court. if the CBA were the same, I wouldn't care as much. It's a new day, we have to start hitting on draft picks, it won't matter how late they are, because that's what we signed up for when choosing sustained winning. It just doesn't matter anymore, he needs to figure out how to get the diamonds in the rough. I'm not even saying he hasn't, you know how I feel about Walsh (JD), I'm just saying we must start picking good players starting now… good/great role players. Also, he has to step in and let Joe know he's gotta put the "young guys" out there now, you have to start forcing their development more. Based on the few interviews, that's going to begin this season. I'm looking forward to seeing a little of Walsh, Baylor, and Springer early this season. It's going to be hard, but tough tits, that's the job of a CELTICS!

While it’s much harder to do now with the CBA, Brad has found diamonds in the rough via trade. White definitely, Brogdon with a reclamation year with us, and KP waaay over played his trade cost. I’m not picky if he does it via the draft, trades, or free agency just as long as Brad finds value. So far he has.

It's not just harder, pretty much impossible because we can't aggregate, and the players who make the big money look to be here for a long time. The draft and minimums are the best we can do for a few years, IMO. They are going to ride the big 6 (probably 8) til the wheels fall off! We can't get ring chasers if they made good money because of the cba. Brad knows the draft is more important now, that's why he's moved to older dudes, trying to find guys in less need of intense grooming. He pretty much said we're using picks now because we used our window for trading last season.

PLEASE be a solid drafter Brad!!

First impression is that Enaruna looks like a Cleveland State version of Duke Tatum, lol.

yeah watching that i thought he looked like tatum playing against weak ass competition. the issue for this guy is he's a high usage player and he'd need to adapt to playing off the ball to make it in the nba.

be honest, had we taken bronny, do you think he's an nba player. is he good enough to be worth 2m for the end of the bench? Forget the lakers and lbj, just him on his merit. do you think he's just 2way caliber or worse? is he a long way off but you can see he has IT to be a player a few years from now? was he worthy of demanding rostered without 2way?

I was a little surprised he went undrafted too. But at the same time, he shot poorly from 3 in 2 of his last 3 college seasons. And the defense is decent but not elite by any means. Had a crazy low usage % of just 17.6 (usually guys who make it in the NBA had a higher usage than that before entering the league) and he's 23 yrs old..with guys that old, usually you have to be better in order to get drafted.

He kind of reminds me of Tyrese Martin out of Uconn a couple yrs ago..and he hasn't really done anything in the NBA (yet)..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

There were a few turnaournds/stepbacks that totally reminded me of JT.

I guess Simmons hasn't been around enough lately for me to pull that image anymore, lol.
Though, Slax did say he'll be cleared for 3 on 3s soon.

yeah, similar move but his movements seem stiffer like Ben Simmons, tatum looks smoother to me. Watch Ben in college, looks like that without the passing. maybe I'm not seeing it because of body type, i dont know.

I used to think that too but it turns out, most guys who end up being low usage role players in the NBA were actually high usage guys in college:

Turns out, it's the guys who are super low usage (like under 19%) in college that you have to worry about making it in the league.

I think the main obstacle for Enaruna is a) can he shoot the 3? and b) how does he handle the step up in competition from mid major conference to NBA?

I like his size and ability to handle the ball, create his own shot and seems to have good touch in the mid range area and crafty moves to create his shot..
