I think a kemba to nyk is a win for both teams. Nyk can't draft for crap, plus it gets them a star that they can't attract for crap. Plus, walker is from the Bronx.

I think we can easily draft a really good point at 8. Doesn't need to be a huge shooter, just give me defense and really good ball movement. Then use the $ to improve the bench.

I am really loving the idea of a Hayward plus a pick for Kyle Lowry.

Kemba to NYK
Lowry, Smith JR and #8 to Boston
Hayward and 14 to Toronto

-Maxi Kleber 3/26 left
-Seth Curry 3/24.5 left
-DFS 2/8 left

We could use some of the above players to build our bench. If they traded some combination for Hayward’s expiring, they’ll have 40-60M in cap space next summer. Feels like we could find some mutually agreeable situation. Would love to add Curry and Wright to our team.

DAL fans on T&T board have signed off on THJ/Wright/18/31 over 1000 times already. They want out of Wright's 2nd year.
They would give you Powell for 18 straight to get out of his deal.

You werent kidding. I think I’d do Powell/Curry/Wright/18/31 for Hayward/Edwards. Then try to package 14/18/26 to get into the top 10 [Det at 7 could make sense].

I'd take Powell over Wright as well, but at some point DAL doesn't have enough assets to send back with all their picks going to NY. So, you really gotta like Curry or get Kleber who they treat as a first born.

I've tried to pawn Wright off on DET and get Snell or something, but they want to be compensated for taking on the contract more than I want to give. I haven't I've proposed 14/18/26 for 7, but I assume they'd go for that immediately.

You could offer that all the way up, really. ATL/MIN probably have to many picks/recent picks to want it, but the rest could go for it. GSW might do Theis/14/18/26 for 2 even? Gives them more flexibility to get lesser guys in the rest of the TPE or in Wiggins package. Not sure, haven't thought thru that packages value quite enough yet.

Sorry, misread the DAL trade. That's 2 bad contracts to take on. I'm not sure Curry is enough extra, but maybe. I'd at least make them eat Poirier instead of Edwards. Get a future 2nd or something too.

EDIT: I think either Wright/Powell could be useful enough players. But, we might as well squeeze as much compensation out of them as we can for taking them on.

I like the Trade idea Hayward for Turner & Oladipo.
I don't think that we need to throw in our coveted players, though.

Hayward & Picks = Turner & Oladipo.

Oladipo (who is 28) wants out, and he's still got the injury bug.
Another thing is, that the Pacers only have #54 in the upcoming Draft.

A third team to assist in the Trade is also possible. But, I don't think it's absolutely necessary.

Proposed Rotation, 2020-21:
Kemba - Brown - Tatum - Theis - Turner
Smart - Oladipo - Langford - G.Williams - R.Williams
Waters - Edwards - (Rookie) - (XXXXX) - Fall

Maine Red Claws = (Rookie), (Rookie)
Theis played zero mins at of this year trading for a center won't change that . And theis turner combo would be terrible except b maybe against the lakers

Another Hayward to DAL idea I had was 3 team with ORL and get back (NOT A Gordon), but Fournier & Aminu:

BOS: Fournier, Aminu, 18, 31 for Hayward, 26, 30
DAL: Hayward for THJ, Wright, 18, 31
ORL: THJ, Wright, 26, 30 for Fournier, Aminu

We move up to 18 and down 1 spot to 31, but non-guaranteed. Fournier would be good. Aminu too if healthy.

Yeah. I was being kind to Theis, since I like his grit.
But, if he can't slot in as a PF, then that further diminishes his value.

Seems like they’d deal Kleber too. Im fine swapping him for Wright and letting them keep 31 or something.

Tatum is our pf. Maybe grant earns it with three pt shooting improvement.

TBH, Tatum hasn't grown into that full-time PF, that we need. He's more of a SF/PF Combo, at the moment.
But yeah, that would be nice if Grant could get up in there. I don't think that he'll be ready to Start, this year.

We'll see though. A lot of things are going to happen this offseason.

Kleber, Curry, Powell, 18 for Hayward and Edwards.

14, 18 and 26 for 7 to draft Haliburton.

30+Kanter to someone for a top 55 protected pick.

I could **** with that team— we’d be deeper and would generate about 10M in salary savings which would allow us to possibly use the taxpayer MLE.

It would also give us the best German center rotation in the league.

POR fans would do Kanter, 30 for 46 easily. They have a TPE he fits in.
I think you could do Kanter, 47 for top 55 2nd personally.

We'd actually be short on wings at the end of this. I love the guard rotation of Haliburton/Smart/Kemba/Curry. But it's almost too crowded. Smart would have to be a full time wing. Or you take Romeo/30/Grant/Kanter/47/Poirier and see what you can do.

Isn't Drew Hanlen based on LA?

Hopefully Tatum bunks at Beal's house rather than buying a crib of his own.

This is still my favorite. I think you can get 7-9 for just 14 & 18 in this draft* and land one of Hayes, Haliburton or Okongwu.

Kemba, Brown, Fournier, Tatum, Theis
Smart, 7, MLE, Grant, Kanter
Langford, Aminu, Timelord, Edwards

If you went with 14 players:
Waive Poirier and you still have $3.3M to stay under the tax line for the MLE.
Or stretch him and have around $5M.
Or not worry about the tax and use the full $9.7M.

Or go 15 and have two of: 31, vet min, Waters, semi, etc
Or go 15 above tax and have full MLE and one of: 31, vet min, Waters, semi, etc

* SAC/POR did 10 for 15 & 20 a few years back. So 7-9 for 14 & 18 in this draft seems reasonable.

EDIT: Fixed some numbers. I didn't have Edwards $ in originally.

If you have present and future earnings potential nearing half a billion dollar, you should be buying real estate all over the country. Doesn't really seem like it would mean anything if some of that real estate is near the epicenter of where basically a quarter of the league has property. Wizards control Beal for the next two years regardless.
