Volume 1/first four episodes was pretty solid I thought. Set things up well for the remaining episodes.

Anyone tried Future Man? It's on Netflix in Canada and I think Hulu in the US. I haven't laughed so much in a long time! It's ridiculous, but in the best way. I was hooked after the Last Star Fighter reference!

I have been in love with Maxwell since the 90’s. The last 5 or so years, he looks like Tyler Perry to me, and it isn’t sitting right with my spirit!! I don’t understand because I’m not attracted to Tyler at all, yet Maxwell is a panty dropper! What is going on??!!!! I can’t unsee it!!! Look at one of Tyler’s movies where he wears a braided wig, then look at Maxwell when he braids the fro! Twinning!!! I’m traumatized!
(Not saying Tyler is ugly, but I think of him as just funny while Maxwell is sexy)
This is random asl, but I just saw a video that made me think about it. I need other people to see it and not be able to forget it!!

Wicked jumped into my top 5 movie musicals. I have seen it 50-11 times, even watched other people’s first time seeing it, reactions.
For Good is really good to me, but there is no comparison IMO. I need to rewatch it a few times to be sure, but I think it is much further down my list. I loved Wicked, so I told myself going in to treat it as a separate but related thing, I know how sequels can be good, but mostly a step down.
I really enjoyed For Good because I didn’t compare them. Since I haven’t seen the play, but it’s so popular you basically know what’s going to happen without seeing it, I wasn’t surprised by anything. Had I not known, I would have been a little hurt about things not happening the way I wanted them to. Oh, I still deluded myself into believing Jon could change it to what I wanted, but when it didn’t happen, it wasn’t a surprise.

I did like Wicked more as well. Legit tears at the end. For good was very good but I was definitely less moved. I am not a musical guy but really liked these.

Yeah good show. Found it a couple of years back. Interesting alternate take on history with some compelling drama. As a history teacher, I'm always intrigued by an alternate history plot. Try The Man in the High Castle on Prime if you like that.

I got into Man in the High Castle recently and just finished season 2. Really gripping, and also challenging in the sense that you find yourself rooting for characters you really don't want to root for but are the better of two evils. Excited to see how the series plays out.
For All Mankind is one of my faves. Is a new season ever coming out?

Should I bother with Trailer Park Boys? Watched an episode and was mildly amused, but also wondering if I could use my time better.

I can see that. Not sure it does with me either. 12 seasons so somebody apparently liked it.

I watched GLORY again for the first time in a decade.
Denzel as a rookie, Freeman, so powerful.
I could watch The Departed & Gladiator & Last of the Mohicans & The Town & Saving Private Ryan once a month.

The CCJM is a very good journal.
I have always had a special interest in hypo or hyper any electrolyte overlapping with the nephrologists
As an endocrinologist, pituitary & adrenal disease have always been my thing - much much much less common disorders than what the average practicing endocrinologist sees all day T2DM, Obesity, Thyroid, & Osteoporosis.
PS The very existence of RFKJ & his beyond ignorant freak quacks who are steadily corrupting the CDC, the ACIP, & the FDA offends my heart & soul. I have dedicated my career to pure excellence & these scumbags are putting huge numbers of adults (and kids) at profound risk.

ACP Advocacy Update | December 2025
ACP remains steadfast in advocating for you, your patients, and internal medicine.
The Latest in ACP Advocacy
ACP Leads Efforts to Defend Evidence-Based Vaccine Policy and Protect Public Health
Amid significant changes to the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and evolving vaccine policies, ACP is taking action to protect patient health and fill a need for evidence-based vaccine recommendations free from bias, influence, or politics.
Developed New, Evidence-Based Vaccine Recommendations
ACP developed practice points to help identify appropriate influenza vaccines for the 2025-2026 flu season and is also developing practice points on COVID-19 and RSV vaccine recommendations. ACP immunization recommendations are developed using our established, rigorous clinical policy development process. ACP is the only U.S. organization and physician specialty society designated as a GRADE Center and AGREE Center, reflecting international recognition for leadership in rigorous, transparent, evidence-based guideline development.
Used Our Organizational Voice to Speak Out
Raised serious concerns about the CDC and ACIP’s actions that took place on December 4 and 5, which risks undermining trust in vaccines rather than advancing sound vaccine policy. We urged CDC leadership to reject ACIP’s new recommendations and retain the current evidence-based approach.
Urged the CDC to stop promoting the false, disproven claim that vaccines cause autism and reaffirm evidence-based guidance.
Joined in a press briefing to discuss recent recommendations from ACIP, and to reaffirm commitment to evidence-based immunization guidance with the Infectious Diseases Society of America, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy.
Advanced Legal Action
Updated our lawsuit filed against Secretary Kennedy along with other medical organizations to stop the assault on public health.
Hosted Forum on Addressing Mis- and Disinformation
ACP and Annals convened a panel of experts for Talking with Patients about Mis- and Disinformation, offering practical strategies to help physicians address harmful mis- and disinformation—from false vaccine theories to unproven "miracle" cures—and guide patients toward informed health decisions.
What's Next
ACP will continue to provide timely evidence-based guidance on clinical and public health matters and advocate for sound policies that protect physicians, patients, and communities.

It’s a great show. Made by the same guy who did reboot of Battlestar Galactica and much of Star Trek Next Generation. The cast is great and the alternative history news is really well done.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."
