Brad mentioned the need for a 3/4, and Bojan Bogdanovic would be perfect with Brodgon heading to Detroit (tack on a quality 1st round pick with that too). Tatum would get some legit rest throughout the regular season with the feeling that Celtics would still be in position to win a lot of those games.

If JB isn't resigned by August 1st and Lame Dillard isn't traded by August 1st then what's going on?

The Pistons don't need another guard. They have enough.

What about bringing Reggie Miller out of retirement?
Is this supposed to be a joke or something?
Danny Green is still a quality NBA player. He just turned 36. He's 2 yrs younger than LeBron, 2 yrs younger than PJ Tucker, a year younger than Horford, 2 yrs younger than CP3. Green was getting playoff minutes for the Cavs just 2 months ago, despite the fact that he returned to the lineup only 8 months after surgery for a torn ACL (which typically takes at least 12 months to recover from). He was 5th on the sixers in minutes and 5th on the sixers in points in the 2022 playoff series vs Toronto, the last playoff series before tearing his ACL .
Reggie MIller is 57 yrs old.
Danny Green played 11 games last season. He's washed.
He had ACL surgery in June 2022. How many games did you expect him to play? Jamal Murray had ACL surgery in April of 2021. You know how many games he played the following season? 0.
Typical recovery time for a torn ACL is at least 12 months. It's actually very encouraging that he was so ahead of schedule with coming back that he has able to play in 15 games (including playoffs).
Green has always kept himself in great shape and did not have much injury history at all, prior to the torn ACL. Guys are playing deeper into their 30's than ever before (PJ Tucker, Horford, Lowry, CP3, LeBron, etc.) so it's certainly reasonable to think he could have 1 (or maybe even 2) more good seasons left in him.
Again, He was 5th on the sixers in minutes and 5th on the sixers in points in the 2022 playoff series vs Toronto, the last playoff series before tearing his ACL. That season, he played in 74 games (including playoffs). He shot 41% from 3 on 6.3 attempts per game.
By the time the season starts in October, that'll be 18 months since his ACL surgery. He should be fully recovered by then. I don't think it's crazy at all to think he could be a solid 8th or 9th man for us. Come playoff time, when the pressure is on and the lights are bright and we're facing TOUGH competition, I could see Mazzulla deciding to go with Green as our 8th man, over Hauser. Green has proven himself time and time again in those situations.
And we could use a player on the team who has experience winning a championship (Green has won 3 rings on 3 different teams). Right now, the C's have 0 guys on the roster who have won a ring. 18 of the last 22 NBA champions (and 7 out of the last 8) had at at least 1 player on their team who had previously won a ring in their career:

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

Don’t forget Anthony Davis. What are the Lakers up to? There must be another move they are planning…..right? Or maybe this is just normal.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

AD can't be extended until August 4th or so I think

Exactly 3 examples here are just warriors team that won a ring in 15 without that experience and then get counted 3 more times

AD is just a timing issue. Now I agree Jaylen and lillard don’t have anything to do with each other but it’s clearly not the same. It’s player option and trade kicker negations, it’s just taking its time.

Oh, I double checked. 2015 Warriors should be 5, not 4.
But yeah, still quite a bit of turnover in just 2 years. The top 4 players who won it in 2015 for them were all still there in 2017, though..

The 2015 Warriors (0 dudes on the team who had won a ring before, yet went on to win 4 titles together) is the exception, not the rule. Again, 18 of the last 22 NBA champions (and 7 out of the last 8) had at least 1 player who had already won a ring.
And although the 2015 warriors didn't have any players who had won a ring before, their head coach won five titles as a player so he knew what it takes (played with MJ, was coached by Phil Jackson and Popovich..). Plus, that team had 3 future hall of famers in their prime - plus they were so good that the guy who won finals MVP was not even 1 of those 3 future hall of famers (although some people think Iguodala has a case to make the HOF in which case they had 4 future hall of famers in their prime).
There's other factors to consider of course, but given the choice between Danny Green or some other free agent wing (Javonte Green, Austin Rivers, Terence davis, Hamidou Diallo, Lamar Stevens, etc.) I'll take the guy with 3 rings over the other guys who have a combined 0.
We obviously got rattled in the 2022 NBA finals. It was very clear which team had already won 3 titles together and which team had no finals experience prior to that series whatsoever. We're led by a couple of young wings. We just added a 3rd star with very limited playoff experience. We've crumbled quite a few times under the pressure of tense playoff moments (especially late in games and especially vs good teams like miami and golden state) over the past few yrs. Adding Danny Green could help, imo.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

Call it in Aaron Wiggins and Jeremiah Robinson Earl into the Grant Williams TPE for second rounders, waive Champs and go after this thing.

As everyone is keenly aware, I'm in favor of trading for a Thunder big man and DEFINITELY would be down for adding Wiggins if the costs are right. Would not hate JRE. BTW, interesting site and things to ponder:

Mostly agree with you, but van vleet is partly there in Houston to mentor the young guards. I can see Malcolm doing the same.
