It mostly says that people should really stop making those kind of graphics when the volume is insignificant. I mean in Tatum's case he literally took 9 shots from that zone. People that want to generate any kind of takeaways from sample sizes this small should be forced to take Stats 101.

In the playoffs, Tatum took 12% of his shots between 10 feet and the three point line. I dare you to find a star with better shot location. Even Giannis took 19% of his shots from the midrange despite being a terrible shooter and being able to get to the rim much more easily than anyone else.

That said, I think Harden at the rim is pretty significant. That hamstring injury really did a number on him.

Tatum took a hard swing towards the analytic type shots this past year on the whole - at the rim, FT attempts, and 3 pointers. Despite all his talk about adding to his mid-range game.

Yall could talk so bad about me and who I accepted the money from but I bet you I would have done that year easily! Took that money (bout 700m) and use 70 million, pennies to me atp, to drag them for filth with nonstop ads and things when I left!! Billboards, ads, etc just trashing that government on their own dime!! Would have plastered all of their wrongs for everyone to see! Do you think I would care about people calling me a hypocrite and more? No sir no ma'am! I could do so much right with all that money, save thousands of lives and still never have to work for the rest of my life! The deal was structured as 200 millions base salary and the remaining 500+ millions for some BS PR position precisely so they can include clauses to avoid that kind of stuff. I'm assuming it's a similar arrangment for the players that did sign there. But it doesn't matter, Mbappé was always turning this offer down. He's too competitive to waste a year of his prime in that league and cares too much about his image to play for that regime.
