Welcome back Luke!

I can rest easy now. Boston got the best free agent as usual.

I hope the Thunder take him from the Knicks, because screw the Knicks.

Stevens knew the Celtics chances of repeating will only go as far as Luke Kornet will take them. Had to be first order of business in FA.

Who would have thought Celtics would have the best signing after 38 minutes in the free agency.

We need to get better, especially in the center position because i honestly dont trust Porzingis to be healthy.

Celtics won a championship with Horford, Queta, Kornet and Tillman backing up Porzingis. Porzingis played in 57 games out of 82 games and in 7 playoff games out of 19 games.

You can't have that mindset of thinking that everything will go like last time if you keep the same squad, you always have to strive to get better.

To their point it would have been nice to upgrade the Center depth, especially as that was what Porzingis did last year not coming off major surgery like he will this year.

Especially since we might actually have to play against a Giannis, Embiid, then Jokic in a playoffs run next year instead of the Center free run we had this year.

But we're a second apron team so we're basically hamstrung here outside of vet min additions in free agency to get a better backup than Luke.

Looks like we're running it back and we'll just be playing a lot of Luke next year. I would love just one bruiser on the team though who could hold low post position and provide shot blocking ala a Drummond if he is available. I don't like having our only shot blocking option being Zingis because our defense so clearly nosedives without him as we saw in the playoffs.

Drummond or Plumlee would be nice, rebounding is still a issue.

I saw a comment about a no trade clause minutes after it broke they signed him, but I thought it was just a joke. Anyone know for certain if it's full guarantee?

All I keep reading is that the Celtics really can’t financially do anything. So I will not be mad if they don’t do anything but bring back some of their guys.

This is what happens after championships. If they don’t repeat I fully expect Brad to go back into his crazy trader alter ego. But that’s next year, not a week after the parade.

Both of those players will most likely be getting more than the vet min.
