Bulls are a mess, perhaps they should just shut down rose until after the all-star break. Something just isn't there for him be it physically or mentally right now

I think it's both. The face injury leads to the mental stuff.

Hoiberg made about 8 straight coaching errors in the few minutes I watched tonight. He's so bad he's gonna get execs fired, imo. Unless he's just got a massive learning curve, but we're talking basic errors.

Hoiberg is going to get the boot real quick. You can tell Jimmy Butler wants to punch him in the face every time he looks over to the bench. Chicago is meant to be the second best team in the East. These guys are garbage..

I'll classify this win as acceptable. Didn't help a team near them in the standings. Fired up after a no-show against a bad Wolves team. Bulls had their chance to seize it when they came within 2 but they lost it with hero ball. Sad watching Rose out there. Had a nice drive late that he finished with a finger roll where a few years ago he'd have finished with a slam. I dream of Jimmy on the Celtics.

Random sidenote that constantly bugs me--the video review of oob plays is well-intentioned but it simply doesn't work the way it's supposed to. Traditionally, the ball would be given to the team that had inside position no matter what. The inside player would be fouled 75% of the time but these are nothing plays that happen all game so it wasn't worth putting a guy in foul trouble when you could just give the ball to the other team. Now they have to review these plays and have to give the ball to the wrong team because they aren't allowed to retroactively call obvious fouls that cause a player to lose the ball. It also slows the game down a ton when bball games already take so long to finish. I liked the gentleman's agreement aspect of that play and the fix, for me, isn't really worth it.

This. It took him like 25 games to figure out not to play Taj and Noah together (with Pau and Mirotic being the other combo). The other night they played a 4 OT game against Detroit and he pretty much didn't sub his 5 guys for all 4 OTs. Needless to say they lost and that has snowballed into 3 in a row and Jimmy Butler openly calling Hoiberg out. They're a mess and he's a disaster so far.

If for some crazy reason the Bulls actually decide to trade butler, I think some team out there is going to have to eat roses contract to make it happen, that might be the worst deal in the league at this point, until next year when some scrub gets 15 mil a year thanks to the cap increase

I would do it in a heartbeat, especially if it meant giving up less on our end. Only one season left on the deal and I'm perpetually bearish on the C's ability to draw a big-ticket FA. Bulls have to ride it out though. Butler is a star on a soon-to-be sweetheart contract.

At first I was disappointed the Bulls lost, but complete and utter exasperation in Chicago is not a bad silver lining in the long run.

Well, BRK will win some games off course...during season every team has bad stretches a nd they got CHI in a little crisis.

Still its a 3 win deficit till 4th worst (Im not counting NOP, because they will improve no doubt!)

Wins counter:

8 BRK
-------
11 POR, DEN, MIN, MIL, SAC
12 PHO, WAS, UTA

There are still only 3 teams that worry me: POR, DEN and MIN. I think POR will be 3rd worst on the end.

Just when the Bulls think things can't get worse -- they go and lose to the Nets.

Nick Friedell ‏@NickFriedell 10h10 hours ago

For the Bulls to come out with this kind of performance after all the hoopla of the last few days is really bad. The Nets are awful.
