I’m just here for this ^^^^^

Oh, and Philly just paid Ben “can’t shoot from beyond 8 feet” Simmons a max deal that might be the highest one this year. LOL

What years does Simmons have player options on?

Massive overpay. Ridiculous for a one time all star who's never even hit 20ppg.

Can’t believe a rookie signed for 170m.

Mannnnnn, Anthony Davis got exactly what he wanted and he’s still talking about leaving. Imagine if we traded for him and signed Kyrie to a 1 and 1. He would be talking about leaving every day.

Soon the NBA will just be all stars switching teams every season. Bronny Jr will be the first player to play for all 30 teams.

You guys **** on Ben Simmons way too much. 22 years old, fringe All-NBA player already. 5/170 is nothing, and if he has already peaked, he'll be underpaid. You would all be on your knees for this guy if he wore Green. lmao 17/8/8 on good efficiency and elite defensive versatility and ability.

Jaylen Brown is going to get this contract next offseason.

Anyway, Christian Wood released. Ainge better go get this guy.

This is what the owners asked for when they kept reducing the maximum length of the contracts.

He's a talented player but inconsistent, overrated, and now overpaid. Glad he's not on our books for that cash.

Ben Simmons missed his entire first year and is still the best player in his draft class. If he were an unrestricted free agent he would receive the max from every single team in the NBA. If he is overpaid so is every single player in the NBA.

Yes, many players have been getting overpaid lately. Did you see the article in the GM news feed, where players are getting upset over these max salaries, at the expense of lower tier players.

The Chris Paul-led National Basketball Players Association has been viewed by some players as prioritizing superstars while overlooking the middle and lower classes.

“They advocate for the interests of max players and super-max players,” one veteran player said of Paul to Ethan Strauss of The Athletic. “Basically, the CBA has helped the whole banana boat crew from back in the day. It’s taken from the midlevel. I think middle-tier players aren’t getting that mid level money anymore.

If you’re a 3 time defending rookie of the year awardee, i guess you’re worth 170M! Seriously, this is expected of course.

Biggest problem is that he's a massive laibility in the playoffs and still a bad match for Embiid. If the guy doesnt learn to shoot, the contract is gonma be an albatross within 2 years.
Good assessment:

There will be a lockout after this off season for sure.

Good, let the Lakers sweat all year about if he’s gonna sign, as much as I wanted Davis, I’m soooooooo glad I don’t have to sit through another year of this ****. The media will make him wish he never left NO.

Also.........   ...... if he leaves the Lakers after what they spent.

Christian Wood is one of those players who it's easy to look at from the outside and say, well that's worth a shot.

But he's been given up on by 4 teams in 3 seasons. The Bucks (who know what they're doing) dumped him this past season. He put up some nice box score averages in 8 games for the Pels but must have been doing something wrong on the court because they dumped him too. I'd guess he's some combination of dumb and lazy.
