This is different than the usual Marvel fare and I quite enjoyed it. 8 episodes about 30 minutes each so it's a pretty quick watch.

The great Catherine O'Hara has passed away. She was a key member of the improv group that made the Christopher Guest mockumentaries. Funny as hell. She will be missed.

Will rewatch "Best in Show" for the umpteenth time tonight.

She’s brilliant. “Best in Show”, “Schitt’s Creek”, and Curb are staples in our home.

I did watch it again last night and it delivered as usual. She's great in it but Fred Willard (also gone) steals the show.

Finally watched Mad Men and it was so good.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Soul Power on Prime about the ABA is incredible. Must watch for basketball fans. I never saw footage of Connie Hawkins. That guy was a beast and would dominate the game today. He looked like a mix of Giannis and KD. All the Rick Barry interviews are priceless - guy is so cocky but it makes for great TV.

It's rare to find truly original art. These two have done it. A little known band went viral on youtube. The comment section is unhinged (and hilarious)

Yeah, these guys are from my neck of the world (Quebec). So fantastic and fun to watch. The mystery is part of the allure, of course.

Highly recommend Paradise on Hulu. 2nd season just started (4 episodes so far). Sterling K. Brown and James Marsden are both great in it among others. Without giving away any spoiler, episode 7 of season 1 is maybe the most intense and best depiction of the subject matter ever (again CARRIED by Marsden) and season 2 has really delivered so far.

Best show on TV right now imo.

Season 2 is actually reminding me of season 2 of The Last Of Us more than season 1 of Paradise, but I think they're actually doing The Last Of Us better than The Last of Us did The Last Of Us last season haha.

Shailene Woodley was incredible in her guest starring role and the whole show is super gripping.

I'm pretty sure some of us were talking about For All Mankind a while back and thinking the show was over, but there's actually a new season coming out in just a few weeks. And there's a spinoff called Star City coming out in May. Pretty cool imo.

New Books about Larry Bird and Robert Parish

Post#1598 » by ConnorHenry » Mon Mar 16, 2026 10:18 pm

Anybody read the new books about Larry Bird and Robert Parish? The one on Larry is called Heartland: A Forgotten Place, and the Miracle of Larry Bird. It's by Keith O'Brien and covers Bird's early days through the clash between Indiana State vs. Michigan State. I just got it but haven't started it yet.

The Chief: The Story of the Boston Celtics' Most Enigmatic Icon is by Robert Parish and Jake Uitti with a forward by Keven McHale and Cedric Maxwell. I'll probably get it.
My name's Henry Connor.
Conner Henry was a Celtic.
Hence the pun.

I heard somewhere that Norris never reads books. He just stares them down until they give him the information he needs.
