He's not laying on the floor doing this so that's a good start!

Hayward has one year after next. Then his contract is off the books.

Jaylen isn’t going anywhere if he reaches that next level this season.

My guess is that Jaylen has got until the trade deadline to reach the next level, or Danny trades him. Time to prove you're worth the huge contract that you'll want next summer.

This is totally counter to Ainge's philosophy with young players. He believes in holding on to them until they prove that he was wrong for drafting them in the first place. He may nor may not extend Brown this summer but he is not going to trade him for not blossoming fast enough or because he is afraid to pay him. It just isn't Danny Ainge he paid Jeff Green to stay home and get better and then signed him to a contract that everyone thought was crazy, and for all of the flack about it his faith was rewarded. Green was productive while he was here and was shipped out for what now looks like a lottery pick from the Grizzlies. He paid Marcus Smart when he didn't have to and more money than he had to. He just got Rozier 58 mil from another team literally doubling the guys contract.

Well now we know...based on the past, seems Danny is done. Kemba and Kanter were the big names. We'll be adding players for the 2 way spots now.

Lol yeah this seems like a way to force him into the same repeated motion without interference from his guiding hand thumb. Nothing too strange thank god. I like to think it's like training-wheels before he upgrades to the two-wheel bike.

But I think he'll be decent...

Really, what do you want Ainge to do? Cast a magic spell? His hands are tied by league cap rules. I would say given the circumstances, he did pretty darn good.

Ive thought that too, but am less sure of it now. I think Ainge may just pay him.

I said that 10 times. Danny had 2 chances to get Cousins. He doesnt want him.
Good assessment:

His mouthpiece for the press said he's not done and to expect the team to look different than even now opening night. I mean, I can't expect signing VP to a min contract for 2 year is what he ment.

He probably has 1 more move up his sleeve.

I think it's pretty hilarious that people are writing us off already. I'm not saying we're the best team in the league, hell, maybe not in the East; but this team is going to fight, have depth and be a joy to watch. I'm really excited for the season to start.

And who knows, maybe we have one last big move in the cards. ;)
