But if we're not winning it all this year (we are though), it would still be great to give the young guys playoff experience the Jays got in their rookie/soph years.

Let’s try and win this year.

I think Bucks top 9 guys would be Giannis, Middleton, Bledsoe, BLopez, Hill, Matthews, Connaughton, Marv, and Ilyasova. Korver and DiVincenzo as situational deep bench guys.

So it's their main rotation from last postseason but instead of Mirotic, it's Williams and instead of Brogdon, Matthews.

Currently I’m not afraid of anyone in the East. Not saying we’re favorites but we could win a 7 game series against any East team.

Does anybody on this board still like Bender or nah?

I'm not sure I have ever been more wrong on a player than Dragan. He wouldn't help us this year at all.

That being said, I still think he can be a rotation player in the league at least. He's 22, a legit 7 footer, and his 3 ball is really nice. It's just gonna take a few more years. He came over way too early (but hindsight and all that).

Like a lot of prospects... Dragan Bender showed a lot of promise prior to the draft. Perhaps Phoenix was not a good destination for him? I wonder how dysfunctional the team was with someone like Josh Jackson? We all saw what happens when a unpleasant teammate can hijack a team. Such a shame. I hope Dragan can re-discover his potential and continue his professional career.

The Bucks get richer. Marv is a nice little vet pickup.

It's interesting to consider that many - myself included - were torn between Dragan and Jaylen before the draft. Danny nailed that one!

Having said that, Bender still seems like a prospect with some upside as a stretch 4; might be decent in Brad's system. Not sure who I'd cut. Maybe Green, although right now he's probably more valuable than bender. If Timelord is ready to return soon, I'd cut Vincent.

I think Javonte is safe now. TT, maybe, but everyone else I just don't see it anymore.

I was onboard too. He was always going to need to commit to getting stronger, which he hasn't shown any evidence he's doing. In fact he seems to be considered a 4/3 rather than a 4/5. He remains a skilled player and likely could develop better on a tanking team that will allow him the freedom to facilitate more on offense. But his upside his tapped unless he realizes he needs to be a tough and skilled player because he never had great enough athleticism to be excel as a finesse player.

Don’t know that I’d want Bender over other potential buyout signings, but..

He’s been dominating the G-League, he can absolutely be.. the floor would be a less athletic Meyers Leonard.. he can stroke the ball, and his rebounding and finishing ability are improving with his physical maturation. That was always the glaring problem, and he got thrown in over his head in Phoenix, expected to be flashy like Porzingis when he was skeleton thin and not that player.

If you can keep building his confidence back up, he’s got a lot mentally that’s retreated into his shell as far as court awareness. Odds he becomes the player he was hyped to be? Not high, but stranger things have happened. Only 22.

Best case scenario is his 4th or so team gets rewarded like the Pistons with Christian Wood - not that they're similar players, but could have similar career arcs ignoring draft slot. I wouldn't cut anyone to sign him this year, but keep tabs on him in the summer depending on how the roster shakes out. I'd probably go for a more athletic wing, but, a shooting big can be handy.

Evan Turner not being linked to a favorite team he'd sign with worries me. If he lands with the Cs, Stevens wouldn't be able to help himself. ET will play and I'm not sure that's a good thing.

I go to summer league every year and I was semi-impressed with Bender in 2018, he looked like he become a solid role player, but he really regressed and looked pretty hapless the next year.

Either his confidence is shaken or he just doesn't have the work ethic. BfB is high on him so it's probably not a character issue.
