If Chris Paul goes to the Rockets and says I will sign on the dotted line if you acquire KG you think they would balk at sending Asik for KG?

we could certainly send them KG and PP for Lin, Asik, TRob, White, and one other salary, say Delfino. they waive Pierce, saving 10 mil, sign CP3: KG, Jones/Monty/Smith, Parsons, Harden, CP3

Of course CP3 is calling the shots, so my guess is this has zero chance, but if he was thinking, this could be a great opportunity for him, working with an organization that has pretty sharp management

my Guess is Ainge is stalling the process. If the Clippers are trying to make a play for Howard via blake and bledsoe and CP3 is waiting to see if Doc and KG are coming. Ainge is going to ask for the moon as this is the first domino to fall.
