For the record I'm not interested in dumping smart to the Sixers.

I rather give them Thomas.

I started an account here in 2007 because 90% of the board was against the KG trade.

There's a thread right now where 90% of the board was against the Nets trade, that I was fully in support of.

Spent two years respecting people who wanted tank talk sequestered into its own thread only to have them come into that thread to post pictures of people with down syndrome and lecture me and others about not understanding basketball and being an inferior fan or whatever the ****.

Many were incredibly obnoxious about it, and humble was beyond an ****.

Given what an utter bloodbath tonight is, there's not enough sand in the world for me to kick in their faces right now, and I am going over the top to make it 100% clear that they don't ever need to do that again.

They aren't the better fans. They aren't the smarter fans.

We are.

Right on man. You are the best poster on this board. Period. We need more posters like you not less. You were 100 percent right and now it's time for people to eat it. Tough ****.

Funny part is, as much as I agree with you on a lot of things, I'm really not even that negative. Gave 100% support of everything Ainge did right up until the trade deadline.

But we **** up. And you are right, we have a team full of "ham and eggers". I still think Ainge is doing a good job, and glad he didn't panic tonight, but we are definitely on the verge of becoming a role player factory right now.

Unless two stars collude to take our cap room next week, we set ourselves back big-time the last few months IMO. And seriously, why would two stars collude to do that given their other options?

Tonight was quite possibly a very important crossroads for the direction of this team.

I hear ya. Us pro-tankers are every bit the fans as the anti guys. Maybe some of us, like myself, go too hard on the negative scale and ride Ainge too hard......but it's probably just to even out the over the top homerism of the Ainge apologists. He isn't a bad GM but he sure as hell isn't a great one either. The one flaw in his plan is he is banking on another team to flip him a star for his "assets" and totally ignoring the fact that the one thing he can control is his own draft pick and he has failed miserably at tanking correctly the last two seasons. Tired of the excuses. This roster is still too good to land a Top 5 pick next season and still too bad to sniff a run in the playoffs. No man's land. We are on the fn treadmill. Sick of the "rah rah" talk from the homers. Call it like it fn is.

It's a little ridiculous that people are up in arms about who we took with the 45th pick. What's the success rate for 45th picks anyway?

Most of these same people would also be up in arms if we took Upshaw.

Wonder if we can trade Brandon Bass or Jared Sullinger for a defensive combo guard?

I'm pro tank not because I want the first overall pick but because I thought 3 years of top 5 picks while giving Brad Stevens experience in the NBA game and the grind was our best bet.

16 set us way back but I wasn't gonna be vocal about it because you're either a tanker or not and neither side is gonna be civil in the debate.

Apparently it is, because I just read a blurb that said Nance has now deleted that tweet. Funny.

Besides the fact we can't trade bass are you seriously saying we should trade what little big we have for another guard?

That had to be sarcasm

With that statement, I'm done with Danny Ainge. He is full of excuses.

Young and Hunter are more long term projects.

What makes Hunter a long term project, dude has been the man for a team he lead in the NCAA tourney. The focal point the of team's defenses night in and night our for two years. Hunter isn't going to grow anymore. He's more ready than Booker, and was probably a better pick than him. Hunter needs to learn how to defend but he has the length and obviously a coach's son so he can learn. At this point in his career he is more ready to contribute than Young was when he was drafted. Hunter by far was the Celtics best pick tonight.

Well I said the celtics would draft four guys and it happened. Unfortunately now this board is going to be cluttered with hopeless " but there has to he a trade in the works" and "insiders are there any rumors?" For the next two months.

I accept what happened which is 4 guys drafted, 1 will play over seas and two or three of them will be red Claw all stars.

If it's for Embiid, the price will likely never be lower... ... Or higher -- who the hell knows.

If the price was right I'd certainly roll the dice on Embiid. If healthy, he could be > Okafor, Boogie, Noel, Towns. I like him, ('cept for the foot and back issues).

Actually I think plenty of us are civil and intelligent on both sides of the tanking debate. I know personally I decided to shut up about it because it was becoming invasive to way too many unrelated threads, I have no doubt others did the same.

Jesus man it's a new **** season. I wanted a top 10 pick as much as the next guy but it's over. The season is over. Move the **** on and quit harping on it.

The constant back and forth over this BS has made the board almost unbearable. Neither side is a "better" fan than the other because you're all equally annoying.

The celtics need an entire new scouting staff.

I've heard ainge say for like 5 years now how there's no one in the draft that are game changers.
