You guys will bounce back. Getting out rebounded and Bobby Portis (lmao) came out to bite you guys. Take it from a Raps fan when I say that you just to have faith your team will make adjustments and come out angry in game 2.

Everything is gravy don't you know? We can lose to the Bulls in 3 as the 1 seed and it's still all good.

Sorry but this is why we are looked at as the worst fan base in Boston sports.

I upvoted you, assuming you were posting sarcasm... now I think I was wrong, lol.

Losing to the Bulls would be a real bad look for our organization, and imho one that would require some reassessment. We'd truly be a regular-season-only team of weak players.

Yea sorry i thought it was pretty clear sarcasm lol.

You say that then it boggles the mind as to why Ainge signed Horford and didn't tank until this year. It doesn't make sense at all if the organization was shooting for 3 straight first round exits.

Horford is an amazing player. Far from a Frankenstein arm scenario. On top of it, Horford was the first domino in the Horford->Durant power play... Context is important.

Sure but everyone knew what was going on. My point is if you were going to just play the draft pick game then why wouldn't you tank last year and get two top 10 picks? It's a lot better than repeated 1st round exits.

Because we're also playing the max contract space game this year and last. And you need to be a good team to have a chance to sign someone close to worth the max in today's NBA.

Are you even aware how many lottery picks Sixers have already lost? Noel, MCW, Embiid's career is hanging on his health?
I cannot even recall the last time Suns have been in the playoffs? Was it Nash's MVP season?

If you want to be stuck, not just in mediocrity, but be garbage for a decade then be my guest.

Ugh...once again. If Danny Ainge is not going to help this team get past the first round then what was the point of last year? Obviously last year we could have had two top 10 picks instead of getting bounced again. But if he's going to stand pat and let the kids grow then what was the point?

Blame Ainge for not doing more sooner during the first 2 years of the rebuild but winning last year made sense since Durant was going to be free agent. Problem became GS losing to Cavs made it easier for KD to get away with signing with them.

Winning this year made sense as well since their isn't a Lebron or Duncan at the top of the draft so having 2 cracks a the #1 pick isn't that important. And it obviously denies the Nets a good pick this year which could help them next year which would obviously be bad.

Really? Your team is **** terrible. Only reason they're winning is because our GM decided not to do anything at the deadline. If you advance I hope you spend money to watch the Bulls get waxed by 35 every game.

Fair market for what. So he can lose in the second round instead of the first?

Folks are overanalyzing this. When the opponents' shot goes up, the defensive team has to box out and secure the defensive rebound. They can't let the opponents get it, bobble it, muff it our of bounds or throw the outlet pass to the opponents. This is basketball 101.

And when the ball gets close, you have to jump. Saw way too many offensive rebounds for them where our feet didn't leave the ground. Even Bradley, who was high flying all season to grab boards, firmly had his feet on the court on many board opportunities.

There were multiple reasons why they geot killed on the glass, but the bottom line is that they got killed on the glass. Aren't Horford and Olynyk supposed to get rebounds? They were pathetic.

It takes more than one to rebound.

How many times tonight did you see one white jersey in the paint while everybody else was running back the other way?

Too many times to count imo..........

WTF. I don't know if Raps fans are being sarcastic but it's embarrassing that the positivity in this forum is coming from them. We got to get our act together.

Well there is no guarantee either of those picks will be better than Butler. I mean Boston is in a great position to have them, but it's no slam dunk by any means. Teams live in the lottery for years and never draft a great player. Your best option would be to trade at least one of those picks for an established star even if it isn't Butler.

Only Sacramento would be dumb enough to do that.

This was my plan as well as many Celtic fan's plan going into this game. Starters play 38-40 minutes (maybe save Amir), the other guys fill in. But Kelly was an abomination in just the few short minutes he did play. His refusal to communicate with teammates on pick n roll coverage or at times to even alert the guard that the pick is even coming. He's been better. And I expect him to be better next game but he did a lot of watching out there. Jaylen, I wonder if he needs to start and have Bradley and his shooting come off the bench. The bench guys just ignore him when he's out there. Whether it's his fault or their fault, they don't throw the ball down to him when he back-cuts across the paint on the baseline anymore ever. He has ceased to post up. This kid can get them 10 points off the bench. I had zero doubt. Marcus can/will make easy passes to Bradley off curls all night off the bench and that action might free up some ball movement. Brad was searching all night for a big that could keep Lopez off the boards and none wanted to step up.

What I'm getting at is there's probably an equal amount of blame for Brad not streamlining his rotation and for us just having guys willing to let themselves be pushed around on the glass.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

KO... such a disappointment. He was destined to be the Canadian Dirk.

Such inconsistency -- it throws off the human mind. Inconsistency confuses our lizard brain.

if someone sucks all the time, we quickly lose interest.

If someone sucks 90% of the time, but is pretty good 10% of the time, we just get led along like dumbass fish biting on fish hooks.
