We may not want any of them to miss unless it's at least two, IIRC they were better when one was out last season.

It certainly is offensively. Rob is a elite (or close) roll man, and Horford is a far better shooter than Theis and probably better than either Schroder or Richardson.

The issue I think is defensively. I think both of those guys can cover small guys reasonably well in a switch, but asking them to chase around a wing playing the 4 on the perimeter I dont think ends well.

I think maybe you can start them together because many teams start big, but then finish with one of the two at center +Jays + Smart and whomever of the Shcroder, Richardson, Pritchard, Nesmith group earns it.

I legit have fairly decent expecetations for Sam Hauser. Passing, crazy range, fantastic arc on the shot(beautiful), hopefully we do the kid some justice, I feel as if he could be a valueable role player in today's game- size, shooting, passing, he can work on defense and gain weight if he wants to.
Good assessment:

I believe in Hauser more than anyone.. I love pure shooters and I believe he will be one.. I'm sure a true shooter will keep the floor spaced over and over again. He just needs to show reasonable defensive ability which is what I really I'm hoping he can do.. But as I also said just like Nesmith he probably won't get the time until mid season.

I would love to see Tatum Play with Nesmith, PP, Hauser. Horford In the 2nd quarters and just feed Tatum the ball and dare him to be doubled..

They're gonna play together to start the game. We're gonna have a big long starting 5 and I think the plan is to bully and out-execute teams.

I would agree, except that I question by how much the sum of Al's and Rob's minutes played can exceed 48.

That's fair but since Al's versatile enough to play both big spots, I think both could very easily average 26-28 mpg which would certainly exceed that 48.

If they total 56 minutes that only gives them 8 minutes to overlap, unless there are times both are off the court at once.

Hence my thought that it would be cool if Kanter could successfully play a few minutes per game as the lone big.

The obvious thought is Horford/Smart. Nobody could be too offended about that. And everybody should find at least one of them easy to talk with.

That's because they only played 14 games or so together. Definitely a chemistry issue. I still think they are ways better if they all play together. Nearly impossible outscore in a 7 game series. The thing with The Kyrie situation, this would cause season long turmoil and tension among the players. KD's don't have that many years left on his prime, and Harden's never won a ring. They won't like this dragging on, even if they don't say anything against it. Thsi is a plus for all the teams in the east though.

We have too many guards once again.

It turns out that the history of Celtic captains is mainly HoFers and PGs. For the first 40+ years, the only non-MVP was Havlicek. When they finally went to lesser players in the 90s, it was often Dee Brown. Rondo was captain briefly right after Pierce.

Cousy and Bird both got the nod when they were (I think) younger than Jaylen is now, and certainly had fewer years in the league.

I think that the Captains have to be Smart & Tatum.
Captains are supposed to be the longest on the team, and/or the most prolific scorer.

I thinks it’s either Smart/Horford or Brown/Tatum.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."
