Saw some of Rob in the Blazers-MIami game tonight. Two blocked shots, a few rebounds/backtaps and a great outlet pass –– al in just a few mins.

Tragic he can't stay healthy.

wonder how much can get rob williams this summer in the free agency.
have to say i think brad is staying pat this february.

Im sure, anyway, that amari williams is our center in three years time.

Maine,
Jan 9 vs. Salt Lake City Stars: 19 pts, 11 reb, 3 ast, 2 blk, 2 stl in 34 min (W, 102-94).
Jan 4 vs. Capital City Go-Go: 33 pts, 16 reb, 4 ast, 1 blk in 37 min (W, 112-109).
Jan 3 vs. Noblesville Boom: 30 pts, 14 reb, 3 ast, 3 stl, 2 blk in 32 min (W, 108-100).
Jan 1 vs. Noblesville Boom: 12 pts, 15 reb, 10 ast, 2 blk, 1 stl in 31 min (L, 122-123).

not bad.

Amari Williams has a great physical profile. But to me he just seems to play with low energy, is slow to react mentally and athletically.

If you look at some other prospects on the team like Hugo, Walsh etc. they play with sense of urgency.

We will see if Celtics can improve his motor.

Is Brad already thinking of Wemby and how to stop him? I don't mean this deadline, but generally. As a guy with a vision and ambition he must be thinking of how to potentially counter the Spurs in the finals 2, 3 years down the line, right? As should all contendings GMs.

djFan71 wrote:I honestly have no idea what Brad will do, or really even what I want him to. First time for this. I think a minor more like Sharpe is great, but am fine if we don't. Anf has been playing well, but I still think he's not here long term. So, I can see trading him, but also not and jsut riding it out thru the playoffs. I've traded Sam plenty of times, but only for $ which we don't seem to care all that much about anymore. And there's no point trading Sam to resign Simons to slightly more (imo).

I think a big move is probably more likely in the summer, but the team is playing so well, and Tatum is close, so you kinda wanna make a move to help this season. But only if it also helps next year, which is the big key.

So..... shrug?

Boucher elsewhere seems the most likely, to get him PT and save us on partial rest of year contract. Beyond, that, man I dunno.

I really share these feelings. It's an intriguing deadline, with the Tatum uncertainty and the many different ways Brad could go.

I'm fine with whatever decision the FO takes, but I'm eager for a bold one (not my money ). So, while I'm not even I'm convinced by the whole package, the JJJ option remains the more ambitious and intriguing to me.

So, Jackson would strengthen what's already a superpower for the Shamrocks, and he could go a step further by addressing different needs. For instance, Boston's 14th-ranked defense could use a lift, and he'd provide a big one as a former Defensive Player of the Year and three-time All-Defensive honoree. He'd also give this group more flexibility on that end, since he's disruptive as both an interior anchor and perimeter-switcher.

I'd forget about Zubac. Even if he were a perfect fit (he isn't), the Clips beat the Lakers last night and they're only 4 games under .500. Zubac will be expensive. What Stevens has to do is to identify the next Queta languishing on someone's bench or in the g-league. I don't think Amari Williams is that guy. For starters he's not assertive enough.

The only thing that I like about a JJJ trade to the Celtics is the Cs can end up keeping Hauser.

Just Simons, Baylor, Tillman, and Boucher then add 1st round picks.
That's enough for salaries to match.

The question will be is how much Memphis values 1st round picks.

I hope they start to give him so real run in NBA games. He is. Rushing the G league…in the few minutes we have seen him in NBA he has had some moments but also looks slow and lost sometimes. I know garbage time isn’t a great measure. He generally seems capable but needs some legit time with the big club before being big game ready. I hope sooner than 3 years lol…but maybe.

Problem is if they don’t send out Hauser in that trade then we are way way over the second Apron next year and in repeater tax hell. Not sustainable.

That's true.

But Grousbeck said, before the sale of the Celtics, they will not stay in the 2nd apron for more than 2 years.

What if the Cs go all in this season and next then go under the 2nd apron in 2027-28?

Or the Cs could trade Sam on or before trade deadline of 2027.

I know it's a long shot, but JJJ to the Cs is intriguing for a number reasons.

The Celtic defense would be elite!

Yeah intrigued for sure. I’d be very surprised if it happens but I’d be on board.

Wemby is a problem. No idea what the solution is. Try and tire him out make him chase people around on the perimeter maybe? But you still need size to counter him at the other end.

What about Keon Ellis? He would be a nice addition if we trade Simons. No idea why Christie isnt playing him at all. Only problem he is expiring, so I wouldnt want to give up too much for him.

They also want to trade Johni Broome, their 35th pick last year who is signed to a multiyear roster contract but so far looks like a real busto.

I wouldnt mind Drummond, low money commitment with the size on the boards, but Philly also seems like a headache to deal with, lol ... Drummond also is one of the lowest IQ players who always seems on the losing side... and I don't want to give anything to Philly at all. I still think Philly should pay us back for the picks we had to burn to dump Springer after they foisted him on us, lol

Yes. Geting a 3rd center without having to give up Simons or Hauser is definitely something I'm interested in.

Any 3rd string player is going to have warts but Drummond at least has clear strengths that he brings to the game.

If the Sharpe rumors have any legs I'd be more interested in giving up more in draft capital for him than getting Drummonds at this point.

Boucher + TPE for Sharpe keeps everyone on board except Boucher. What would it take in picks? BRN basically gets an expiring and the big TPE. Would a first do it? A first and second? Sharpe is not a game changer but he'd be a solid addition to go with Queta and Garza. And he's got a lot of fans here it seems.

He's one non-shooting big man that I WOULD support a trade for. Limited knowledge of his game to game performances, but watching some highlights, on the defensive end appears to have lateral movement to defend in space. Checks most boxes for me personally.
