How is saying that he tried to trade up but couldn't but still liked the guys he drafted making "excuses?" What do you want him to say? "We had a miserable draft?"

I'll see how you feel when we land a couple of great FAs. I'm sure you won't be "done with" him then.

Apparently it is, because I just read a blurb that said Nance has now deleted that tweet. Funny.

Maybe Kobe requested the Lakers to make this pick? Someone's going to have a rough first couple years in the league.

I'm pretty sure we will see a trade soon. It's going to be a subtle trade but a trade nonetheless.

The constant back and forth over this BS has made the board almost unbearable. Neither side is a "better" fan than the other because you're all equally annoying.

For real. It's ironic, isn't it? Sports are supposed to be a way for people to relieve their stresses and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but instead, this forum has devolved into what is probably the most stressful thing in some of these posters' lives.

I suspect the Nets picks will have more value next summer.

Ever thought that having a little patience wouldn't kill you? You don't even know what the asking price was. If they wanted something like AB and a Brk pick to move to 9 that's just not worth it.

Right on man. You are the best poster on this board. Period. We need more posters like you not less. You were 100 percent right and now it's time for people to eat it. Tough ****.

Funny part is, as much as I agree with you on a lot of things, I'm really not even that negative. Gave 100% support of everything Ainge did right up until the trade deadline.

But we **** up. And you are right, we have a team full of "ham and eggers". I still think Ainge is doing a good job, and glad he didn't panic tonight, but we are definitely on the verge of becoming a role player factory right now.

Unless two stars collude to take our cap room next week, we set ourselves back big-time the last few months IMO. And seriously, why would two stars collude to do that given their other options?

Tonight was quite possibly a very important crossroads for the direction of this team.

I hear ya. Us pro-tankers are every bit the fans as the anti guys. Maybe some of us, like myself, go too hard on the negative scale and ride Ainge too hard......but it's probably just to even out the over the top homerism of the Ainge apologists. He isn't a bad GM but he sure as hell isn't a great one either. The one flaw in his plan is he is banking on another team to flip him a star for his "assets" and totally ignoring the fact that the one thing he can control is his own draft pick and he has failed miserably at tanking correctly the last two seasons. Tired of the excuses. This roster is still too good to land a Top 5 pick next season and still too bad to sniff a run in the playoffs. No man's land. We are on the fn treadmill. Sick of the "rah rah" talk from the homers. Call it like it fn is.

So to go from the lottery to the playoffs is a treadmill? Ridiculous statement. This team is young and developing. How do you think you get to the championship? Lose a ton of games draft one big stud and boom they give you the Larry O'Brien trophy? It's worked out well for the Cavs right? Tanked three times, got the number one pick three times, got Lebron, Kyrie, and Wiggins right? How many trophies? How many banners are sitting in those lofters? 2 if I'm not mistaken and they're both located in South Beach.

It's because as a former Bruins fan, Peter chiarelli used to use that excuse all the time and it got him fired. The price was too high, it takes two to make a trade BS.

Afam calm down bro, the sky isn't falling. Ainge knows more about basketball and evaluating talent than you or I or anyone on this forum(except for humblebum of course). This is the first official day of the offseason. Ainge moved a couple pawns, but hasn't brought the queen out yet. Just wait and see what happens subsequently before you fall on your sword.

We just need Jason Kidd to make good on his Brook Lopez scenario.
