Stash?

A+ draft if they can draft Maledon and stash him for a year. None of these rookies are playing real minutes next year, so why waste a year of their rookie-scale contracts while they sit on the bench?

I wonder what's wrong with Devon Dotson?

I believe he should be a late first

He is a quick PG who can finish and pull up shoot.

Tyler Bey, Ramsey, Xavier Tillman, Devon Dotson, Woodard are my favorite at 26/30

Oh I mean never cross him off the list since he’s a perfect DA draft target. Probably don’t even need to meet with a guy like that:)

And I like him, could get behind him at 14, though I want us to draft bigger.

After thinking about it a long time, I've decided I want the Celtics to draft Tyler Herro.

Other rumor of note. Kevin O'Connor says multiple sources have told him we're looking to package all our picks to move up in the lottery, then swing that pick to the Pels for Jrue Holiday. FWIW

LOL that was around noon today. Now we're already onto the rumor of Hayward and 14 for Myles Turner.

Part 2. This guy has the best draft channel on youtube by far. Celtics picks are at 12:25, 16:55 and 18:32.

Never saw the "hype" of Maxey. A 6'3 guard who is not a reliable shooter or a facilitator doesn't fit with what Boston needs.

yet is exactly the type of player I expect Danny to draft

ESPN updated their analysis of Oturo
"Pre-Draft Analysis

It's clear that Oturu's going to be a legitimate floor spacer in the NBA, especially after watching Oturu go through an hour-plus workout with Ross McMains in Santa Barbara, California. Not only is he reliable from the corners, but he's excellent above the break with great rotation, soft touch and excellent mechanics, even if he doesn't have the quickest release.

Oturu showed signs of shooting growth during his breakout sophomore season, as he knocked down 36.5% of 52 3-point attempts. But to watch it up close after months in the gym was significant, especially when pairing Oturu's shooting ability with his agility as a ball handler. The Minnesota native has wing-like fluidity at 6-10 and noted how much he's been working on playing out of short rolls and creating in space, citing Adebayo as a model.

Already one of the most productive bigs in the draft (20.1 points, 11.3 rebounds, 2.7 blocks), an All-Defense selection in the Big Ten and an excellent finisher, Oturu's passing ability is the missing piece -- he finished with just 33 assists to 88 turnovers under head coach Richard Pitino last season. He'll show glimpses but can still fine-tune his decision-making and ability to find the open man once he's in motion. If he can sharpen his floor game, there's no reason Oturu can't carve out a consistent role at the NBA level. - Schmitz"

The kid's got one of the higher upsides out of the guys realistically available at 14. We should go for it if the staff thinks his jumper is fixable. Whatever role-player type people want to draft instead isn't going to play as big of a role as people seem to think. Drafting Hampton even if he's a project is a much better idea IMO

sometimes a guy who does everything at all star level but can't shoot is worth a pick. They can develop at least a NBA min average for shooting open 3's and become good, maybe great. too often we end up with MKG.

This year, i just want a guy who can already shoot above average and even if his basketball skills and everything else stink, he can sit in the corner and make a 3 if needed.

And instead end up with one of the Morris twins over Kawhi or Olynyk over Giannis.

Nice, I don’t get why this guy might be a second rounder. If we don’t go big at 14 I definitely want him or Nnaji.

Added Devin Vassell to the confirmed workouts.

So, who are the 8 players the Celtics have worked out?

Teams are only allowed 10 IN-PERSON workouts.

Confirmed:
R. J. Hampton (New Zealand Breakers)
Precious Achiuwa (Memphis)
Devin Vassell (Florida State)

Possibly
Saddiq Bey (Villanova)
Aaron Nesmith (Vanderbilt)

Virtual Meeting, i.e. Zoom (Doesn't count against limit of 10 workouts)
Desmond Bane (TCU)
Nate Hinton (Houston)
Zeke Nnaji (Arizona)
Daniel Oturu (Minnesota)
Payton Pritchard (Oregon)
Immanuel Quickley (Kentucky)
Paul Reed (DePaul)
Jay Scrubb (2 meetings) - maybe he should change his last name considering his desired profession. Was consensus JUCO College Player of the Year, and scheduled to transfer to Louisville if he didn't stay in the NBA Draft.
Lamar Stevens (Penn State)
Tyrell Terry (Stanford)
Killian Tillie (Gonzaga)

Think we'll keep most of these picks?

OK let's use these picks by this mocker vs trading all the picks for JRUE.

This mock Has Boston taking at 14 - RJ Hampton +26 - Theo Maledon + 30 - Robert Woodard.

wouldn't mind this and yet wouldn't be my best choice

AND STILL WOULD RATHER THESE 3 and their potentially good careers for the next 6-10 years

than

Jrue Holiday for 2 years (even worse if he can leave after 1)

and please don't tell me we don't have enough roster spots.
