Goodbye Jaylen...

He's talking about contract sizes.

And those contracts will make JB's look pretty good.

Booker's gonna get 70mil per year. :o

Imagine teams trying to stop the Jays and Simons.

Imagine how good Simons will be with the spacing (and far less defensive attention) he'd have in Boston..

Dude is going to get cooked defensively.

Let him get cooked. One step closer to AJ Dybantsa in 26'. :D

Yeah the market for Simons is probably not gonna be that great. I hope Brad will not be so desperate as to dump him just for the sake of. In the end, he's the only real 'piece' we got from trading away both KP and Jrue. I'd really like to give him a shot here.

If we miss Kornet and Horford….what about Paul Reed on a two year vet min. Or even. 3 year near minimum
Edit can we do a 3? Maybe not

The jazz just got rid of 2 guards maybe that’s a avenue there where we take back Collin’s and save a little money.

Seems like everyone says this fine. No problem, then why is it we Can't extend him after this year. How could he possibly be worth the predicted 30 million when salaries will be tight for every team. I'm guessing we should be able to sign him for much cheaper.

Given his age and our financial situation, I'm hoping Al will re-sign for the veteran's minimum.

lol Look at the East. There is zero chance of that happening unless the team decides to hold JB out for half the season and White comes down with some random illness for 5 months.

I wonder if they could work out a sign and trade for the Kumbucket by using either Al or Simons.

BOS gets: Patrick Williams, 2 2nds from MIL and CHI each (4 total)

CHI gets: Kuzma

MIL gets: Simons

Bucks pay 2 2nds to shed a contract year and address their desperate need for shot creation in the backcourt with Dame out. CHI pays 2 2nds to shed 2 contract years and, despite his flaws, upgrade at PF too.

BOS leverages their clean long term cap sheet to get back a nice little haul of 2nds even while shedding current year salary in the process. I also think PWilliams actually fits decently well as a long term role player in BOS in a 3&D type role if they're stuck with him, while still being a palatable enough salary filler to use in a trade.

As far as Al & Luke free agency goes, Tatum being out most, if not all of next season would be the #1 reason why those centers would entertain other opportunities. And you can't really blame them. Especially, Luke. He's coming off a career year. He's taken team friendly deals, and perhaps it's time for him to bounce for more money and a new situation. He has his ring and everyone loves him. I'd wish him well if he signs elsewhere.

Al is a different story. He's made enough dough to where his family won't have to worry about money for generations. It all boils down to whether or not he wants to chase another ring. If he does, he will have suitors. But why leave Boston? Tatum will be back. Why not sign a 2-year deal with the 2nd year being a player option? See how it goes this year. If it all falls apart and he wants to be traded, Brad can facilitate a deal at the deadline to a contender. At least at that point we will all know who the true contenders are. I think if Al stays, Boston can still be a 50-win team and at least entertaining.

I'm not sure if you're aware, but Patrick Williams stinks.

Jake Fischer says Kornet to the spurs likely and Horford to GS. I’m going to drink bleach

So does Simons. But PWilliams makes less money this year (the season where we need tax savings) and because he has more future money in the years that we have ability to take on payroll, that's what entitles us to a nice haul of 2nd rounders there.

How is anyone sweating the loss of Al, who will be 40 next season (26-27), which is when things will matter? I get he's a good dude, but from a basketball perspective, it just doesn't matter.

That sucks, but what are your going to do? Kornet at $14M is too much. Horford might not want to play in 2026-27. He supposed to just do nothing this year on a non-contender?

We gotta seriously just get under the lux tax if we can and reset this year.

Just gotta trust Brad has a backup plan when Kornett and Horford leave.
