Probably not on the mark since we just won a couple in a row, but this is a fun little video from reddit entitled "Throwback to a Celtics team with heart". As usual, Marcus in the thick of it. Crowder and Rozier like to get their noses dirty, too.

Just took a peak at the schedule. Boston surprisingly only has 3 b2b games in March and April. Hopefully leading to less fatigued play. That and Smart + Langford should help the Js, Timelord and Kemba.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Remember the time this thread got stickied for two years after I called a guy a "neanderthal" for saying woman shouldn't ref NBA games, or whatever dude's point was?

The overall sentiment is fair, just saying. That will never sit right lol.

Lloyd Pierce is out there. Celtics should add him to the staff. NBA assistant since 2007 and has been for some decent teams. Would certainly upgrade the Hoosiers style college staff that Boston has. He's not an offensive coach but could help solidify the defense.

The Celtics are 16th in DRtg but separated from the 7th ranked Houston by .5 point. Last season we were 4th. The season before 7th, .2 behind the 6th ranked Miami. Does it look like 1) our problem is defense and 2) the coaching staff is the problem? I don't think there's a whole lot of evidence for it.
Meanwhile do you want to look at how the Hawks did on defense in Lloyd Pierce's tenure?
Not saying he might not be a good assistant, but I don't know why anyone would think so.

Based on the words Pop had after his firing, I'd be more than happy to find him a role in our org.

Smart being out is definitely a factor, lack of practice, lack of a regular rotation, plus we are playing two rookies who are bound to make some defensive mistakes. Lastly, the Jays have more offensive load than ever and their collective D has slid back a bit as a result.

I count 8 b2b games in the 2nd half (2 are in May)

Possibly more if they don't extend the end date of the regular season. We have 3 games that got postponed.

Pierce with too much free time now that he's retired.

The Celtics enter the All-Star Break with longest current winning streak in the NBA. Weird ass season.

And the 4 seed. I like the schedule for Jaylen's rest. 2 days off, ASG short minutes, 3 days off, BKN, 2 days off, HOU.
That's super manageable.
