I doubt we will be able to trade up at 14 but maybe with some of the later picks, we are not likley going to make 4 selections. I see some trade ideas I don't like in the other thread, Hayward may be forcing our hand a bit. We don't really have roster space for 4 picks and adding some vets via free agency which is also needed. There is also the luxury tax which we will try and dodge.

I think until we know if Hayward is opting in or out we can't have any idea, if he opts out we are more likley to keep most of the picks, if he opts in and has signaled to managment he is gone at the end of the season we probably move him for someone with a big salary but making a few million less to preserve the salary slot.

Well, there was a year that we had 8 picks: 3 firsts, and 5 seconds.
We kept 6 of those picks.

Some of the mocks today have Vassell being jumped by Nesmith, I like both guys. would be fine with either one at 14.

Wow. Talk about secrecy. That's super secret. I like that approach. Still gotta do homework on the type of person he is.

I like Rafael Barlowe's channel best. NBA Draft Junkies on YouTube, although coach Spins' channel is very good, too.

I think that video of him "fooling around" with that new from on his shot has scared people some. I really like Nesmith and he's elite at the most important thing in the game right now. I know people hate every comparison using stars but his game is very reminiscent of Klay Thompson's. The way he can run around screens and through traffic, and C & S from deep, with a very repeatable form. Even if that's all he becomes is a lethal 3 and D he's worth a high pick. Remember that game Klay scored 43 and only took 4 dribbles?

This is what I see watching Nesmith run around. He doesn't possess the same size and length as Klay so he won't likely be as good a defender but he won't be a slouch either. But unlike Klay, I actually think he can put the ball on the floor and attack the hoop on occasion and won't ONLY shoot threes.

Because of that video I've had to drop Vassell a little. I can't trust that it's really just him joking around. If his shot is really looking like that he's in trouble. He can still be a very good defender with a solid all around game, but it was that three point shot on top of all of that which made him one of the better prospects and if that's in doubt it's gotta drop him. If it turns out he really is just joking around and he's a 40% from three guy, he's right there with Nesmith imho and maybe I even put him ahead but only slightly. The difference then would be negligible and beauty in the eye of the beholder type of thing. I can't imagine either falling to us at #14.

No because of Danny’s hubris will make him think we have a roster crunch and won’t take 3 rookies

I see Ray Allen not Klay, but I see what you are seeing, someone else saw Hield, its the constant motion using other players to get open, Klay actually shot a higher percentage from 3 then Allen, both will be hall of famers, not saying that Nesmith is that good, but he is that style of player. That motion is great for tiring out other teams stars and also creating pockets for other players to attack even when he does not have the ball. Vassell has more overall upside and is the better athlete and defender, they are both around the same size and both shot well in college Vasell shot over 40% from 3, though his ft% only bieng 73% worries me that that could have been slighty lucky, either way he projects to be a solid shooter. I think the expert consensus is Vassil is a better prospect but Nesmith is in the next tier. I would like either of them if we are able to sign or trade for a big man using other assets or if we are drafting bigs later.

Are there players in this draft class that have perennial All-Star upside? Is it possible they're still at #6 and #8?

I think any player that will be high usage and filling stat sheets, regardless of shooting, turnovers or defense (like Luka) can make multiple all-stars especially if they're drafted by a team in the East. I think Ball can be that guy for sure. There's a handful of other guys who have all-star upside but it's far less likely. This draft isn't loaded with them but it is loaded with #2 and #3 guys throughout the first and #4 guys well into the 2nd imho. It's actually a really deep draft in that regard. You think anyone can?

Perennial (meaning multiple times consecutively) is a stretch. Obviously you never know (2013 gave us Giannis, the all-time great 2014 was a huge disappointment).
Robert Horry is better than MJ, because everybody knows that 7>6.

Yes, but you'll have to subscribe to our RealGM Insiderz Club to find out who. Just $47.98 a month, but since I like the cut of your jib I'll give you the first one for free: Peyton Pritchard.

Anybody have a binky for pick #47? Seems like all our first round picks are tied up in trade rumors. Binky #14, Binky #26, and Binky #30 I'm missing you already.

Not sure how realistic any of these are but guys I'd love if available there are Azubuike, Tyler Bey, or Grant Riller.
Oh and that spunky guard from Houston who Squiggles has been talking up. He looks cool.

Oh man I would LOVE Isaac Okoro. He's been one of my favorite prospects in this draft and would be great learning from Brown specifically. Pretty similar to him coming out of college as a freak athlete, NBA ready body, but questionable jumper. I think his mechanics are there and honestly not worried about his jump shot, just like I wasn't with Brown, since by all accounts he has a great work ethic and I believe a jump shot can be developed.

Tatum, Brown, Okoro, and Langford as your wings all under 23 yrs old is a pretty filthy foundation

So the celtics official twitter page has been posting videos of prospects with their "resume." So far they have posted RJ Hampton, Precious Achuiwa, Aaron Nesmith, Saddiq Bey, Zeke Nnaji, Onyeka Okongwu.

Guys with confirmed workouts with the Celtics are Precious, RJ Hampton, Nesmith, Vassell, and Maledon.

Saddiq Bey declined to say who he worked out for and Onyeka didn't have his media availability yet.

I wonder if the celtics are simply releasing videos of guys they've worked out LOL

Going by theory and combining the confirmed workouts that will mean we worked out

Hampton, Achuiwa, Nesmith, Bey, Nnaji, Okongwu, Vassell, and Maledon. That leaves two more workouts we haven't heard about.

I don't really get the appeal. I think P Williams is a much better prospect.
