So we know they want a 4/4.5 who can shoot a little (Jalen Smith is only 28 percent but it’s something) and comes cheap.. Smith, Green, anyone else meet that description? Muscala, I guess, sucks but is shooting .441 from three.. Olynyk, Covington, Nance, Kyle Anderson are a step up in salary - tax issues if we weren’t trading Al.

just so so random that out of all the players in the entire league, Jeff Green is a player Brad is interested in bringing (back) to Boston.

It makes sense if part of the bigger picture is moving Horford.
It lets us keep that Vet locker room presence.

Also lets Ime have another old guy to start at PF and play too many minutes exhausting them

Get Fox. Have him ball out for the team this year then use him in a Beal sign and trade once he rebounds in Boston. I'd trade anyone on this roster other than Tatum or Brown for him. Really good player in a bad situation.

I'm biased because I really loved Jeff Green and wanted him to succeed here but I do still think he could serve a decent role on this team. Ultimately, I'd love to see Al move to a bench role, where he can play less minutes to prevent more wear on his body & allow Grant to move to a starting role to help spread the floor for the Jay's.

Smart / Schroder
Brown / Richardson
Tatum
G. Williams / Green
R. Williams / Horford

It's nothing earth shattering but I see that as a more balanced 9-man rotation than what we currently have.

If Smart is traded, the Celtics will collapse?

Don't think so. We need a culture change.

The Celtics won't collapse if Brown or Tatum is traded either, given what you would get back for one of those guys as opposed to what you would get back for Smart.

Smart and Horford to Houston for John Wall, Usman Garuba, first round pick swap rights in 2022 and Houston's unprotected first in 2023.

Now there's a Smart deal I would do in a heartbeat.

Read on Twitter

Jeff Green is Jerami Grant, both in name and oncourt play, if you squint hard enough.

It should be really interesting to see what the Wizards do at the deadline.

If they go all-in on Grant, they better be sure that Beal is staying. If not, that's a Grunfeld-esque move

IMO, the biggest benefit to Green is I think that Ime would start him at the 4, and bring Al off the bench.

Plus defensive versatility. Which speaking of, fun fact. According to b-ball index, Smart, Tatum, and Jaylen are all an A+ in defensive versatility.

Then Juancho/Nesmith/Richardson for Giannis?

Also, who do the Wizards give up in that deal that Detroit wants? Dinwiddie? Hachimura or Avdija plus first(s)? Struggling to see why Detroit would want to trade with Washington...

ZERO percent chance the rebuilding Rockets trade draft picks. Literally no chance whatsoever. And for Smart/Horford? Those guys make zero sense in Houston/.

Golden State laughs and hangs up. And even if Stevens drugged Myers and got the GS deal done, Sacto then laughs and hangs up on the 2nd deal. Next
