I know this is unusual for extension negotiations, but what if JB's camp is expecting a full pitch for him to stay beyond next year? If he is forgoing free agency, maybe he wants to discuss not just contract details and $$ but also individual role, team direction, bball philosophy, opportunities in the city beyond bball, marketing, etc.? Who on the org is good at Powerpoint?

Well Jaylen, we want to reduce your usage by 2-4%, limit your pick and roll ball handler duties and need to you go focus on defense more. Sound good ?

More than 3 times the caffeine content as a can of coke, causing insomnia, anxiety, and other health problems. Just as much sugar.
Way to contribute to the systemic obesity and health problems, Jaylen. I hope you enjoy your small amount of endorsement money that you got in exchange for ruining the futures of mostly children of color.
....what did he do to you? It had to have been pretty bad.

Did you already feel that way when Rajon Rondo endorsed the brand?

Aww look at the little kid with the JB jersey on. So cute. I hope JB signed that jersey
Let's get the extension signed, sign one more quality vet to a minimum contract and get the season started.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

I honestly thought he already had a ring with Milwaukee. He was on the Lakers and Bucks on wrong B2B non-title years. Similar to Jae Crowder who was with the Cavs and Bucks on wrong years and Suns/Heat who just made Finals but lost.

Re: Trade/Free Agency Thread, whose NINE is it anyways?? 2023-24
Not sure how legit this is, or if Minnesota would actually want any package we would realistically offer for him.
But he would be perfect for this team.
I'd offer a 1st round pick + enough filler to match salaries. Hard to match salaries without giving up Pritchard. They probably wouldn't want Pritchard, anyways..
Also, not sure Brad would give up a 1st round pick for a guy with just 1 year left on his deal - and would probably just be an 8th man for us.. maybe if we have a wing wink agreement with him that he would sign an extension after we trade for him..but if you do that, you're kind of blocking the path for guys like Brissett (on 2 yr deal), Hauser (has 3 yrs left on his contract) and Walsh (4 yr deal) to get minutes..

Plot twist #2: After giving JB the supermax, the team runs out of money, and this court becomes the Celtic's new practice facility, The Mark Blount Center.

Sounds like part of a three team deal with Brogdon going to a 3rd team. Do it Brad!

Slo Mo would fit this team like a glove:
Timelord
Porzingis
Tatum
Brown
White
Horford
Anderson/ Brissett
Hauser/ Walsh
Brogdon
Pritchard/ Banton
Except we'd have to give up some bodies to get him. Not sure if C's can afford to trade Brogdon without getting backcourt help back.

Kyle Anderson makes 9 mil
Tyus Jones makes 14 mil
Brogdon makes 22.5 mil

What do they have left on their contracts?
Something with a wing instead of Tyus Jones? Like, Brogdon and Pritchard to LA, Norm Powell and SloMo here, Covington to Minny.
Adds .7M to our payroll, you'd have to cut Champagnie and find some kind of bargain basement vet min guy. Austin Rivers?
White/Rivers/Banton
Jaylen/Powell
Tatum/Hauser/Walsh
KP/SloMo/Brissett
Rob/Al/Luke
