Williams would not be a guy you would describe as having a high motor.

If Scheierman and Williams played one on one, how long would it take to play a game to 10?

TBF, he's got 0 yrs of NBA experience..and he's going against Koloko, who's got 3 years of NBA experience. Koloko is probably the best rim protector in SL and has the potential to be one of the better rim protectors in the NBA.

Context is key.

He's British.

One does not simply rush into things. It would be... uncouth.

Fire Brad.. 8-)

I think defense is a big reason why we passed on Flip. He was a very bad defensive prospect.

Scheierman was a poor defensive prospect too, but it's easier to hide a poor defensive wing than a poor defensive big. A poor defensive big can really hurt your defense. Brad has preferred putting bigs on the roster who are good defenders/rim protectors (Al, KP, Tillman, Grant, Time Lord, KP, Kornet etc.) so Flip doesn't fit that.

We've also had wings (like Hauser) who were poor defenders before Boston but we got them to be better defenders so perhaps Brad thought we could do same with Baylor..we haven't had the same luck with taking poor defensive bigs and turning them into good defenders.

Also, Scheierman is a better shooter than Flip.

Also, Baylor slid in the draft because rumor has it he had some bad pre-draft workouts and there was maybe some concerns about his girlfriend..Brad steers away from players with off court red flags..

Filipowski had the girlfriend/family weird situation not Baylor

Yeah that's what I meant..was saying that could have played a part in why we passed on him..off court red flag. But think it was probably moreso the defense..and Baylor being a better shooter.
