Celtics shouldn't engage with the spurs. It is a waste of time already. They are not really serious about getting kawhi leonard. It shows with what they are offering. I am not saying they should offer this, but if what they are offering doesn't include Kyrie Irving, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Gordon Hayward, then move on.

Spurs aren't coming out alive in the West within the next 5 years anyways, why should they be afraid to create a superteam in the East? As long as the Warriors are together the Spurs are irrelevant, they'll try to be competitive as long as Pop is there, but they'll have to rebuild once he's gone unless they want to stay mediocre.

People are really not getting that the Lakers won't miss an opportunity to add Lebron James and Kawhi Leonard (especially now that PG is unavailable). They're just trying to do it without selling the farm. But, if one of us or Philly pushes our chips in and forces them to, they will.

That's where Lebron and Kawhi want to be. Kawhi won't give a different team an indication that he'll resign. A Tatum or a Simmons would have to come on the table for there to be any real chance of a different outcome, which just won't happen without a commitment from Kawhi.

Any noise you hear about us or Philly making serious headway is 100% posturing to crack LA's coffers open.

Unless DA knows its all crap (which it is) in which case he'll laugh, tell them to call him back after the 4th when LeBron makes his announcement via cartoon and get what he wants in a few days. Remember, the worst case is LeBron AND Kawhi both going to Sixers. Without LeBron its not really that big a deal. If the Sixers overpay for a year of Kawhi then let them.

Keep talking for what, to keep low balling them, offering Terry Rozier picks. If celtics had Kawhi i wouldn't want them to accept any offer that doesn't include Jaylen Brown. I don't care if they put both the kings or memphis pick on the table. No Jaylen Brown, or Jayson Tatum, no deal.

People don’t seem to get that no matter where Lebron ends up, Danny Ainge holds all the cards in regards to Kawhi Leonard.

That’s cute that Philly wants him, but they can’t outbid Boston, neither can LA based strictly on them being in the West and not on Pop’s goodside.
