Sad and pathetic is more like it.CelticFaninLBC wrote:BK_2020 wrote:Ah yes, Red Bull, the company that targets children and misleads them into believing that drinking highly caffeinated and high sugar beverage will make them more energetic, active, cool and accepted by friends.
More than 3 times the caffeine content as a can of coke, causing insomnia, anxiety, and other health problems. Just as much sugar.
Way to contribute to the systemic obesity and health problems, Jaylen. I hope you enjoy your small amount of endorsement money that you got in exchange for ruining the futures of mostly children of color.
Obsessed.

Except we'd have to give up some bodies to get him. Not sure if C's can afford to trade Brogdon without getting backcourt help back.
Get Slo-Mo here! If you have to give up Pritchard or Brogdon, we can add someone like Graham or Rivers. Kyle shot 41% from deep last season!

Re: Trade/Free Agency Thread, whose NINE is it anyways?? 2023-24
Ok. So I've mentioned that I was a little concerned about signing Javonte, cause he had knee surgery in January. BUT he did come back late in the season. Didn't play much, but did play 13 mins in a late season game vs Dallas:
He seems to be moving pretty well in this vid. Does have a knee brace on. But he seems to be moving quick, spry able to flip his hips and slide laterally quickly. Hard to tell in this if he has the same vertical explosiveness. But it's encouraging that he came back late in the season and was moving so quick out there. Plus has the whole offseason to keep rehabbing, getting the knee stronger, shaking off the rust, etc.
Also, as I mentioned in a previous post, yes he shot 37% from last season but that was on very low volume, only 35 attempts. If we try to get a bigger sample size, but taking the 3's he took last season prior to getting injured and add on just enough 3's from later on during the 21-22 season so we have e decent enough sample size (100 shot attempts exactly), he made 36 out of those 100 shots, which is of course 36%. So 36% out of the 100 3's he took prior to the knee injury.
That's pretty good!
Especially for a guy who's not a shooter. You're not really getting him for his shooting. Javonte as we all know, is more of a defensive minded wing, a good perimeter defender, an energy/hustle guy, good cutter, he'll get some offensive boards, some put-backs, tip-ins and easy baskets in transition by out-hustling everyone else down the floor. But you get all of that while also hitting 36% from 3 on some catch and shoot 3's here and there.
And he's a vet. 29 yrs old, turns 30 in a few days. Brad (for the most part) doesn't like adding young guys who need all kinds of development and will make young guy mistakes. But since he's still only 29, he still should have some juice left. Should have at least a couple more good years of ball in him.
He's already played for the Celtics, knows Mazzulla, knows a lot of our guys. Close friends with Tatum. And there were reports earlier in the offseason that said Javonte was open to a coming back here.
I say, bring him in for a workout, have take look at his knee. If the knee looks good, if he looks good in the workout, and he's down to sign on for a minimum contract, bring him back.
Lastly, Brad likes bringing back former Celtics. He brought back Al. He brought back Theis. Perhaps now he'll bring back Javonte.

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

I hope they do the soundtrack for Beverly Hills Cop 4.

Hmmm, so Brad is interested in signing a 4/3 type of wing.
And he seems to prefer vets who are further in their development (age 26+) when signing free agents or trading for dudes.
Could be a good pickup if he is willing to accept the money and role we can offer him.

Cooper Flagg attended JT's Elite Camp.
No one under 6'5"? JT's more of a disciple of Brad Stevens than Danny Ainge lol.

A sad day in Rumorville: Dropping Dimes 27 has been dropped.
The other 200 Dropping Dimes will have to somehow carry on without him...

Hope not. Not a serious player. Not the type of player a team adds that is seriously trying to win a championship
