Not to everybody - NBA people picked DeRozan for 2nd team All-NBA, i.e. top 10 player. I think that's crazy, but the Spurs certainly seemed to share that valuation.
Tatum's value is not far better than a top 10 player.

That's the pack I'm offering without an extension from Davis. Pels should take it.
That's my offer too. Pels are greedy.

So basically, by trading for a guy with one year left on his contract and hoping he stays, the Celtics are insane.Spoiler:

Ouch. That hurt quite a bit.
He's right. Not landing Kawhi was likely the biggest blunder of Ainge's tenure with the Celtics. Sadly, I think it was clearly a mistake at the time. Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart for one of the best in the game? That's a no-brainer.
It's part of what's probably going to cost him his job down the line. Missing Giannis, Kyrie leaving, missing out on Durant and the big one, Kwahi. It is just too much to ignore.

You got to wonder if the pals or refuse to take that offer without Tatum regardless of if it's better than the Lakers offer.klemen4 wrote:Jaqua92 wrote:That's not going to get it done.zoyathedestroya wrote:That's my offer too. Pels are greedy.

It better than supposed Lakers offer!

Agreed. But it's more so for next year. The league is wide open and there's no clear-cut title favorite. Without Kyrie and without Tatum, I starting five of Horford, Davis, a healthier Hayward, Brown and a replacement point guard very well could win a championshipFlatearthZorro wrote:batabatuta wrote:JR Hawks wrote:

Dude the amount of luck it took for the Raptors to win the Finals is unreal. They are good, but it's unreal, literally. I guess it was kinda similar with queen James and the Warriors a few years back. Ujiri robbed the Spurs. This was a travesty and it will continue being a travesty. I doubt we would've gotten off with trading a high volume scorer, a late first and a rotation big for Kawhi. We would've paid dearly and you don't know what would've happened cause of Irving. It is what it is. I don't blame Ainge at all, tbh.

This is legitimately the fourth time youve posted some variation of the following:
[group of people], its [adverb] simple. Hand over Tatum.

C’mon people.... not one of you here compiling that DA didn’t take Giannis or trade for Kawhi were actually advocating for him to do so at the time. Lets stop with the MMQBing of this stuff. Gian1nis was super raw when he came out and no one knew wtf was going on with Kawhi. The Raps took a huge chance because they weren’t going anywhere with DD and figured they’d take a chance. It paid off big, but it also could’ve ended with Lowry being their best player and barely making the playoffs.
Feel free to go back and look at old threads...I was strongly advocating for Kawhi.
