Where are you seeing that?

I did a quick google search..all I see is he had an exhibit 10 deal last year with the Bulls and a summer league deal this year with us..

Same.
Must have been a bogus report.

It was on IG. That’s why I asked, IG posters lie a lot about the NBA especially, didn’t see it on here so I figured it was fake.

We need a Starting Center.
Where's Bassey and Lofton?

Edit:
Also, we should be able to get an extra "Temporary Replacement", since Tatum is PUP.

I think Cs would first have to declare Tatum is out for the entire 2026 season.

That's under Disabled Player Exception.

Yep. And it probably can't be used since the money would still count against the 2nd apron. Very highly doubt we go that route.

Updated offseason roster, with JD waived

2 open spots on offseason/training camp roster. 1 standard roster spot is open but will probably not get filled because 14 is the minimum and signing a 15th guy would put us back over the 2nd apron.

I'd cut ties with Walsh also. Go in full penny pinch mode.

Let Norris play the max games a 2way player can.

Let Rico and Ooooogo' get mucho minuto's.

You know how much they were under the 2nd apron prior to cutting JD? If I read Spotrac right it was 331k, but the Chat sports bot on YT claimed it was 700k. Trying to figure out when I can start proposing signing Norris to an NBA contract pro rating to account for that 331k to technically clear.

Let's not fill it, for the time being.
Wait for other moves to come about.

We can also bring 2 more Exhibit 10's to Camp.
We can have up to 6 at a time.

Repost, from another Thread:

This whole Offseason/Preseason Roster Thingamajig is out of whack.
For one thing, Two-Ways shouldn't count against the Roster limit. Same as it doesn't in some other Sports.

The NBA Rules are too constraining.
Preseason Roster Limits in other Pro Sports, compared to their Regular Season Limits, are as follows.:

Sport | Offs'n | Regular
NFL ---- 90 ---- 53
MLB --- 40 ---- 25
NHL --- 50 ---- 23
MLS --- 30 ---- 20
NBA --- 21 ---- 18

Again, we should have 25 Players in Camp.

I think we were about $330K over the 2nd apron before cutting JD.

If we convert 1 of our 2-way guys to fill that last roster spot, it probably wouldn't be till very late in the season to save $..and stay under the apron.

And if a 2-way guy does get converted later, I'm guessing it'd be Amari since we are so thin at the C position that he may end up playing quite a bit for the big club. Also, we drafted him higher than we drafted Shulga..Norris wasn't drafted at all..

Tough to compare football and baseball preseason/regular season rosters to basketball. Football and baseball have many more positions to deal with. Injuries also play a part also. Football is a guaranteed trip to the training room.

They were over 331K (Sportrac) before. So now they are 1,938,700 million under the Apron. Room to sign an undrafted or 2nd round pick rookie. Thats about it. A 1 year experience player (Norris) would get just over 2 million. Basically can bring him on prorated pretty early in the season if they want.
Jordan Walsh goes top 10 in a 2023 redraft.

I keep forgetting Niang.

IF

He sticks around I bet he's gonna be to Joe what No Pass Bass was for Stevens his first year coaching. He may not start 70+ games but he's gonna get 25+mpg.

I agree completely. I think the Celtics are ready to pounce if the player they like becomes available. Having most of your draft picks is a big plus in this regard.

Hope he’s good!

Denver landed Braun but then the whole youth movement thing sort of fizzled out after that. Brooklyn seemed to play tough even though they weren’t good. I suppose Claxton and Cam Thomas were decent finds.

As long as he’s best buds with Jokic then I’m happy about it.

I think he was with Denver longer than the Nets. Nets may have been just last season and this past draft.

Denver he was around for Braun and someone mentioned Holmes last season who I forgot about.

Brooklyn had no draft picks in 24'.

This year they went full international which may have something to do with Nicholas's international ties.

Fernandez is also well versed in the international game, so that could have played a part in their draft pick selections this year. I just saw that Fernandez was an assistant coach for Spain from 17'-19'. Although Oooogo' was too young, I'm sure he had insight on him prior to the 25' draft. He had 2 chances to pick him at 26 and 27 but he went Saraf and Wolf. I found that interesting.
