Not sure that's accurate. I think you could have had Butler at the draft if that were the case.

George and Wall are not studs worthy of the 2017 Brooklyn pick.

Wall is dopping 23/10 this season. How is he not worth the 2017 Nets pick? Do you think Fultz or Smith Jr. will reach that level?

Could be better. Would make about $5 million and be under the Celtics control for the next 4 years.

Where has Wall lead the Wiz with his soon to be $30+ million a year contract?

He would have been a Celtic if the Bulls weren't asking for AB and Jae.

He only has Beal on that roster. He advanced the team to the 2nd round 2 years in a row and could have reached the ECF if he didn't injured his hand.

Why blow our best asset on a guy that would be the least of upgrade at his position, if at all? Wall's also a headcase, much like Cousins, yet he's not even in the conversation for best player at his position in the league. He's also only about a year younger than IT, and will command more money when his contract is up. People think IT wants to get paid? Wall seems like he may hold out for a renegotiate and extend as soon as he's eligible.

Would you rather have John Wall or IT + Fultz/Giles/Tatum/etc, absolute no brainer imho.

You could make a very strong argument that Paul Pierce was more responsible for the Wiz getting that far than Wall or Beal ever were.

If you throw in both Nets picks, then I think it makes the trade easier to put together and Chicago doesn't demand both players. Also, with Jimmy, you don't need both Crowder and Avery.

I feel like this time last year we had a least a few actual rumors being discussed (no matter how little credibility they had...). Maybe I'm misremembering...

I don't think Ainge is making one trade this year. Honestly it's FA and Draft or bust. But that's just me.

Same. Any trade made will be a small one to clean up some weaknesses. This team will be rebuilt through the draft.

Only trade will be one that doesn't jeopardize cap space, like trading for Bogut, or swapping Rozier and a pick or 2 for Okafor.

It's just so maddening to watch a pretty good team with such an obvious ceiling, and no path to getting better in-season. Plus the max cap space is a mistake. We could do better trading Amir, Jonas, and Zeller for longer-term assets - Monroe or Vucevic, Gay, Faried, picks, etc. and acquiring restricted free agents or prospects (Noel, Okafor, Nurkic, etc.) than we're likely to do in free agency.

I like the upcoming FA class. I'd rather have Millsap or Ibaka than any of the players you mention.

I like it, but where's Smart? A Fultz/Smart back court could be something else against backups. I don't know how Stevens manages the minutes, but a Zizic, Olynyk, Brown, Smart, Fultz second unit looks good.

With IT, Horford, Crowder/Avery, Hayward helping you compete now... and Fultz and Brown (maybe Zizic) being the blocks for the future. Also keeping the Nets '18 pick in your back pocket. IF a top player comes available, you still have the assets to consider it. You don't have to re-sign IT or Avery if Fultz and Brown are progressing as expected. Plug and play. You can also easily trade Crowder if needed... or put him on the bench. Compete now while developing the future.....

4 years, 25 million per for one of them or 1 year, 15 million for Monroe or 2 years, 13 million for Vucevic?
