I could see a 30 for 30/doc/long article written about this stuff eventually, especially if Lebron ends up in LA and wins nothing. More likely it ends up as a footnote in Lebron not surpassing Jordan.

Why bother to call them just to keep low balling them. This why teams hesitate in trading their star players to the celtics.

How many star players, in your estimation, have the Celtics traded for since Ainge has been in charge? (Most people would say 3 -- Irving, Garnett and Allen -- but your definitions may be different.)

What other franchises, over the same time period, have traded for more star players than that, or even the same number?

It’s more likely Philly ends up with no star, than it is that they get both Lebron and Kawhi.

We could end up with Lebron in LA without Kawhi as well. Easy money has Spurs caving but I still say this whole scenario plays out with some strange unknown hitch.

That’s the dream.

To me, Lebron and Kawhi in LA is preferable because it keeps Philly irrelevant and basically makes the Lakers an entertaining punching bag for Golden State.

Lol what’s the point of moving on? Not like Danny is wasting your time or anything. If there’s talk then the Celtics should continue talking till the very end. The change of opinion can happen from a day to day basis. That’s stupid for the Celtics to just end and focus on the season which is like 3 months away. No reason not to talk with the spurs.

Keep talking for what, to keep low balling them, offering Terry Rozier picks. If celtics had Kawhi i wouldn't want them to accept any offer that doesn't include Jaylen Brown. I don't care if they put both the kings or memphis pick on the table. No Jaylen Brown, or Jayson Tatum, no deal.

I disagree. Lebron + a healthy Kawhi is nothing to scoff at. They make some decent moves in a year and they will be right there with us and Houston (I don't actually believe in Houston but you get the point).

I want nothing for the Lakers. Ever. If they must aquire Bron, let them get Cousins or some **** to pair with him.

Kawhi is getting traded, and the 76ers are one of three teams in the conversation to land him. If they end up with him, why wouldn't LeBron sign there? He's getting embarrassed by the Warriors every year if he goes West. He'll get embarrassed by us every year if he stays in Cleveland.

LeBron isn't signing with Cleveland after last season. He's not signing with LA to play with Boogie and Lonzo (lol). The 76ers just make sense if they end up with Kawhi.

Yep, if they miss out, maybe they got after Avery? or KCP plus additionally trying to resign Reddick(all on short term deals?)? Oh and yea it's somewhat hilarious how most PHI fans denies that Reddick carried them through the 1st round while being their best scorer.

A lot can happen, a lot can change. This core has about 5 good years. That includes Kyrie, Gordon Hayward, excluding Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown. Celtics future is now. That should be the goal. To win a championship within the next 5 years. Worry about the future later.

It's not true, especially if you 2 potential superstar two way players on your team who have shown that they are able to perform on the big stage and are in their very early 20's. Don't agree at all. Taking a 1 year rental on a guy who doesn't wanna be here, had a mysterious injury nobody knows if he's overcome it. That's a horrid gamble. Oh and his uncle is a generic LaVar Ball behind the scenes.

Philly isn't going to just disappear in 3 years if this gets done. Simmons, Kawhi, Embiid, old man LeBron and whoever is left after the trade could still be plenty relevant 3 years from now.
