If you think about it these gms and coaches are long for jobs usually so why would they care what Boston can do. Get those picks and assets.

I think too many people focus on other teams and what they can be. They can get Kyrie Irving and nothing or Kyrie Irving and a 1st. I'm taking the 1st and making my future better regardless of what Boston does from there.

Exactly, made this point in another thread as well. Celtics will be on of many contenders and teams look out for their best interests.

A bit different given Wiz aren't competing but they gifted the Lakers a potential big three for the cost of a 2nd rounder (and spare parts)

The last month has been depressing when considering basketball. If we come back from the dead to preserve Al, get Kemba and MLE. I'd suddenly be so jacked up.

Perfect offseasib to get rid of malcontent Kyrie will not sacrificing much talent (getting Kemba back) and basically still move forward with youth while staying a real east threat.
