If this falls through, it's all on Danny. Turner-McDermott is a very good haul, not to mention it addresses two areas of need, for a player that's leaving.

Not a big fan of Turner (still better than what we already have), but if we can get Warren...big steal.

What I think realistically happens: We get Turner/McDermott/Future 2nd for Hayward.

What I hope happens: We get Turner/Warren for Hayward/Langford/Memphis 2nd (and Semi for salary purposes).

You really wnat to go no longer than three to match his expiring contract up with kemba's give the Celtics a shot in free agency in three years to pair another star with Brown/Tatum. 4 years is just BEGGING the contract to become an albatross.

Hayward at 4 years is fine.

I like that move for them. Versatile shooter at the 4 or 5

I'd rather pay him that, than pay Grant 20 million a year

Its actually possible its GHs camp trying to max the price holding things up.

NY rumors could be legit, could be Indy trying to pressure Ainge, or GH trying to pressure Indy. Last 2 make the most sense to me

I wonder whether we don't like McDermott because of the salary or McDermott himself? We can do...

BOS gets Turner, Bjelica
SAC gets McDermott, small asset
IND gets Hayward at $100M/4 yrs

Kemba / Brown / Tatum / Grant / Turner
Smart / Langford / Nesmith / Bjelica / Theis

Bjelica makes slightly less than Dougie. We avoid the tax.

Maybe we don't want the 7M coming back altogether since we plan on using portion of the MLE on someone better from FA?

I think Ainge is afraid to lose this trade. He thinks Dougie Buckets and Turner would be a loss instead of Hayward. I disagree.

I want more, heck who doesn’t, but please just accept this deal before Robyn tells Gordon to take the $$$$ from NY.

Not even the Tatum extension?

I think it's more likely to be Turner and Lamb for Hayward actually.

At the end of the day, they still suck.

OKC = 76ers

and yet in the last decade they've been to the same amount of Conference Finals as us and even made a Finals.

That makes sense. Their total salary of $28.5M is within the $29.17M limit Cs can receive if Hayward's contract is $100M/4 yrs. Celtics don't want any part of Lamb and his salary though. So finding the third team might be the hold-up.

SWC suggested re-routing Lamb to NOP for George HIll but that deal w/ the Bucks isn't even completed yet.

Just to get the deal done... Straight swap Hayward for Turner. Maybe Pacers add a future 2nd. Gordon's salary would be $97.18M/4 yrs for the salaries to match. No added player. No third team. Done and done. Celtics have enough room to add an MLE guy at $8.8M max and still avoid the tax.

Increasing salary means we gotta bump up from mcd to something else right? In a good way?

Turner and Warren or I think Hayward returns. That is great for Boston IMO. I don’t mind sending them schoolboy legend Langford either.

Lambs position fits though right? Why not keep him?
