Yeah I’ve happily ignored this storyline for most of the summer. Looks like it’ll get done though.
I am curious if Portland will hold out enough to make it hurt though.

Re: Around the NBA (and other Sports), Con't
would it be Herro, Lowry, a prospect or two and picks for Dame?
If so, MIA is left with something like
Lillard/Martin/Butler/Love?/Bam
JRich/Jovic/Highsmith/Robinson
would be a pretty solid 9. Probably send Jovic to POR too, though -- I wanted JRich to come home to BOS and it bothers me that MIA got him for cheap -- would feel more confident writing them off as too old/shallow without him, but I still want -- as I always do -- to write them off as too old and too shallow.

Kind of like this framework:
Miami sends out: Herro, Lowry, Jovic, Jaquez, 28 and 30 picks
Gets: Lillard and Jae'Sean Tate
Houston sends out: Porter, Cam Whitmore, 2025 protected 1st (back end of swap leftovers)
Gets: Tyler Herro
Portland sends out: Lillard (maybe some back end flotsam to clear roster space)
Gets: Lowry, KPJ, Jovic, Jaquez, Whitmore, 25 Houston pick (back end of swap), 28 and 30 Miami firsts.
Portland gets three okay but not great prospects and three picks. Pretty good return overall, but could easily end up being a pile of nickels and dimes.

Women's basketball is probably my favorite Olympic team sport, but I don't follow it at all otherwise.
And yes, I mean the real thing. Beach volleyball has the problem that too many points end after the ball crosses the net twice.

Honestly, blazers should just say present or future, pick one! Blazers will take the other. Heat can make a good offer if it has 2 1sts, jovic, their rookie and herro diverted to a 3rd team for more picks

Thats why the blazers need to gut the heat, reduce their potential to draft decent players to improve their chance at better picks. Miami tax and night life hard to compete with though as far as free agents go

Yeah good point.
Replacing Houston above with Charlotte, with one or two of their less consequential young players, would make sense. Can't see Charlotte sending much in the way of picks at all, they don't have excess like some of these other teams do.

Look, I'm not saying the spurs are making the playoffs. But they will not be an easy team to beat in the regular season.
Teams will have to bring their A game to beat them. We usually have trouble beating the Spurs and I expect that to continue this season. They'll be tough and scrappy.

Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

Still going to be a bottom three-five club easy imo.
