Good to be in the middle.

Would New York trade Melo for Ryan Anderson, spare parts and a pick? Because I think Melo is the only guy Morey has enough juice left for. I don't think that team does ****, but good luck to them.
Word is teams want 2 1st round picks to take on Andersons contract
Sure but that's if they are try to dump him for Cap space. Which is why they got Paul to opt in and was traded instead. I think Houston would be offering Anderson against Melos bloated deal. New York gets something like one first and Montreal Harris as the incentive.
Otherwise a buyout seems the most likely scenario. No one is banging down their door for Melo and with Jerry West taking over the Clippers, they are clearly out on Melo.

Anderson + Quarterman + Kelly for Melo works salary wise.
Please let that happen today. It takes one PG suitor out.

I actually preferred being after the Jazz but I don't think it matters in the end. If we all take a step back, we'll realize Hayward choosing his next team isn't going to be based on the order of meetings that were set
This order actually does make sense from a logistical standpoint. He will probably hear out Utah and if he already made his choice, he will inform them. Or give a day or two.

It's good to be moving all over the calendar.

Hopefullly Monday's meeting is about how to arrange sign and trade for Kelly, Demetrius, Mickey and a top 3 protected 2018 Celtics pick (not Nets or LAL)
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Re: PG Part II: The Summer of George
Paul/Harden/Ariza/Melo/Capela + Gordon as 6th man would be pretty dope lineup tbh. It's quite a bit better than what they had this season.
Paul >> Beverly
Melo >> Anderson
Bring back Nene + few other ring chasers. They don't really lose anything on defensive end but their offensive efficiency might go up significantly.

Chad Finn (Boston Globe): Downside of potential Celtics moves? Avery Bradley will probably go elsewhere

PG Part II: The Summer of George
Is it realistic that Melo is going to play for D'Antoni again? Seems...unlikely. Unfortunately.

I don't believe in statistics. There are too many factors that can't be measured. You can't measure a ballplayer's heart. -Red Auerbach

Anybody else worried that Hayward and Riley are going to bond over Dapper Dan Pomade?

Murph just tweeted this:
Looks like an accidental tweet that should have been a DM.
I think it's a good chance of both, though Hayward may actually be the tougher sell cause he likes Utah.
