Davis is good. Hes great. Hes next in line for superstar talent for the game.

I would absolutely love to have him.

But I think it's a huge mistake to trade all those prospects and picks for him already known that A. Hes leaving. His words, not mine, B. It's not getting us over the hump.

If you want to live dangerously and believe ainge can convince him to stay then cool, hell it may even work.

But right now, gun to my head? Let the lakers over pay and have them lose to warriors every year while we get to the finals anyway.

Please show me his words saying he is leaving

And let me know where he’s going, too. The Lakers arent going to punt a second LeBron season with roll-over cap space and AD isnt leaving a title contender to play with a 36 year old LeBron.

Well isnt it obvious hes coming here or the lakers and that hes made it clear that the lakers are his preferred destination? If he goes to lakers the goal should be to make them give up everything. Not for us to give in and do the same

No my rebuttal is AD won a game vs the Warriors in the playoffs and swept a very good Blazers team.

If he were in the East, they wouldve played in the finals last year.

Only if he played for the Cavs or celtics.

No, his Pelicans wouldve made the finals had they been in the East.

Hmm. I suppose so. But that's a whole other discussion.

True. I think one year he made it to western finals? Am I making that up?
But portland aucks. Hacks.

Portland was the 3 seed in the West last year

Yeah, but with an obvious drop off from the top 2. Plus the Hacks thing made me laugh.

Do they have a legit shot at the finals? Let alone a legit chance to win it? Last year?

Only one team matters right now. Everyone else is hacking it.

Amd if he comes here, you expect him to leave? And go to a 36 year old LeBron? And you expect the Lakers to wait around and do nothing for another year of LeBrons prime?

Normally no, but someone is leaking that info and I have to assume hes compliant in the spreading of that rumor.

And I’d call his bluff. I dont see the Lakers punting possibly the last year of Bron’s prime or AD wanting to leave a finals favorite for a 36 year old Bron.

Hypothetically speaking. Say we did get AD and traded everyone.

Is Kyrie, AD and one of Horford/Hayward a good enough core to beat Golden State(if they don’t disband)? I suppose a lot will come down to the roleplayers we bring in.

I mean, I’m very much all in on AD, but still worth thinking about.

I personally dont think so. But others I think believe they are young enough to wait it out.

I think AD will become the best player in the league if a Celtic next year.

I'll be suprised if the Warriors stick together beyond this season. KD can opt out of his contract, and should. Klay is a FA. Draymond is a FA after next season (correct me if I'm wrong). Boogie is on a 1 year contract and probably will get offered more somewhere else.

Decent chance KD decides to take his talents elsewhere IMO. If not, I don't think they can pay both Klay and KD? Something has to give with this team lol.

Yeah, I dont think they retain everyone. I think two of them leave.

Kyrie would average double digits assists due to Davis’ automatic midrange game. Both players would become even better than what they currently are if they team up.

I saw this earlier. When did AD turn into Jordan? Or 25 year old Lebron?

Please have some sympathy for the young man. He plays for a team called the Pelicans for crying out loud. What do you expect?

Return to Boston Celtics
