Dallas in the finals would be pretty great for storylines. Kyrie vs Celtics, Porzingis vs Dallas. Tatum v Luka. Our failed attempt to sabotage their season by sending them Grant. Jaylen Brown vs. Tim Hardaway Jr.

Didn't realize this team is tied with the 2016-2017 Warriors for the third-highest net rating in NBA history. +11.6 on the season. Only teams above that? 95-96 Bulls, 96-97 Bulls.

Small wonder the Celtics rolled over their first two playoff opponents.

While all these stats talk about dominance, I wouldn't read too much into it because of how much the game has changed in recents years (stylistically, statistically...). And this team's propensity for mental collapse when things get tough...

A (maybe?) underrated aspect of this season's success (so far) is Jayson and Jaylen's improved chemistry. I feel they really enjoy each other now and play much more cohesively. Rest of the team and the new incorporations helping a lot too, of course.

It's probably as late as 1 year ago that I felt they were still competing against each other, diminishing the team's potential.

Awesome observation which honestly didn't seem so drastic because it existed all year. I'd like to think Jaylen sliding in to the all-nba and getting a designated max certainly helped. But to his credit, I don't believe he has got off the gas on trying to improve - but now he's not fighting for his spot at generational wealth, it has been acquired.

Those two guys at #3 picks, with similar talents on rookie scale contracts, it's impossible that they were going to have a perfect chemistry.

Now the front office has to pay lol
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
I would be absolutely terrified of seeing Kyrie in the finals...

Dude who die on the court before losing to use, and I don't want the Big Brother vibe in the Jay's head.

And that's not even bringing up Luka.

DAL is the last team I want to see in the finals. Give me Minny, DEN, or OKC (OKC, please? pretty please with a cherry on top?)

If he dies then he dies.
I don’t think the Jays would still have that proble

I don't care about the part where Dean Wade appears 3x in the edit.

Kyrie has been losing consistently to the Celtics for several years, including in the playoffs. He's survived so far.

Shoutout to John Karalis and the Locked on Celtics podcast for calling out some of the brain dead media narratives floating around about the Celtics.

Feels like I’m going insane listening to some of the rubbish spewed by the mainstream guys. Utterly disingenuous.

They just swept Kyrie out of the playoffs 2 years ago and have consistently beat him over the past few years
