I say hell no on Boogie, in case that wasn't already obvious.

Fills a void, but doesn't improve us and is a habitually-disruptive cancer. Anyone who would deal with that from a 3rd rate role player after last season is out of their minds. And with no other vets to keep him in line? Yeah, great call.

I have been a long time NO on Cousins but this is exactly the time I would buy. If there is no love out there for the guy and you can be the sheltered harbor sure I am in. As long as I can cut his ass if he goes crazy then sure I am in.

The Celtics can't pay Boogie, so it's moot.

They'll play center by committee and do just fine. They'll play some "postitionless" lineups with Grant Williams at center. They'll give Timelord a chance to develop. They'll use Theis and Yabu (unless they've traded him first) against certain matchups, and of course Kanter against other matchups. Maybe they'll pick up a guy like Willy Hernangomez in the Rozier sign and trade. Maybe Tacko Fall wins a roster spot.

The problem with guys like Richaun Holmes is that those guys are fighting for minutes. Kanter is more of an established player who won't disrupt chemistry. Stevens is back to having the kind of team that he knows how to coach.

Well, if Horford had decided to resign there would be no Kemba Walker and we'd be looking at lesser players at the point guard position. Certainly Horford will be missed, but it's not the end of the world. Someone will step up.

Jerry West really needs to work some magic right now--get Kawhi to the Clips, like he got KD to the W's a few years ago.

In that dynamic Kemba is a much better PG than Al is a PF who doesn't want to play C.

The idea that we are hearing the Al doesn't want to play C thing again would have scared the crap out of me going forward he sucks as a PF what made him a star caliber player was that he was C.

We need to sign a couple legit locker room vets. Our bench is so young and inexperienced.

It's highly unlikely that we're winning a championship this year. At least for now we should be looking to give big minutes to the likes of Langford and Rob Williams. Gotta see what we've got there.

I’m not saying that you don’t play the young guys. But I feel like we value talent and potential over strong bench character. Too many young dudes who could use player mentors. Even if they don’t play. This is one thing i agree that Kyrie said last year. This team could use a grizzled vet.

Agreed, but they need one of these guys willing to accept a break glass in case of emergency type deals. If I foolishly assume no additional trades, I'd say the following need to be penciled in the rotation: Walker, Brown. Hayward, Tatum, Kanter, Smart, Ojeleye, Robert Williams, Theis (or G. Williams), and probably Langford with Edwards given next shot if Langford fails. Ideally you'd have a vet emergency center type and a Gerald Green type scorer willing to sit and be ready to step in if the rookies (and Ojeleye*) falter.

* IMO, Ojeleye should be given a bit of rope to find his groove this year to start since he represents the team's best shot at making Giannis work for his offense.

I don't see any pot of gold at the end of the rainbow on this. People have always overrated him, and there is a perception that he will somehow "return" to greatness. But it was never there. He reminds me of Kaepernick. Dangerous analogy in that Kaep involves a political element that he is obviously being blackballed for, but I mean strictly in terms of play.

You have a pouty primadonna who thinks he is a lot better than he is, because that was reinforced in his mind for a long time. But at the end of the day, he is whiny and mentally weak as a competitor, has lost his athleticism, and is highly unlikely to take an accurate stock of himself and just shut his mouth and do the team things that a role player should do. He will think he is the show, and be disruptive while he auditions for a bigger contract and a bigger role with another team.

It was a fine enough risk for the Ws because they had the vets to keep him in line and weren't married to him. We don't have any way to contain this dude, and the limited resources we have make the opportunity cost way too high.

People should accept that we are not a finished product that is contending this year, and wait for a shot at a big that actually moves the needle. The goal is to win a title, not finish in 5th place.
