Wonder if we can package 26 and 30 and move up and maybe next years 1st?

I think "most" would say that Terry is a good talent. Even at 14. But is he really the most important talent/need combination possible at 14?
I say no, but OK with anyone who sees it differently.
Also for me, drafting a PG at 14 would mean M Smart plays more Off the ball. I love Smart as a PG way more than a spot up shooter.
BPA at WING or Center for me IMO.

I also think this question needs to be asked.
But does Danny Ainge have a PTSD on drafting now?
Meaning with all the multiple draft pick years Boston/Ainge has had, (8 draft picks 1 year) without much success outside of the top 6 draft lottery picks (Tatum, Brown, Smart etc.)
He has probably heard the critics so many times, I almost feel like he is "gun shy" for a lack of a better term. Maybe in his mind, he won't be able to survive another year of multiple draft picks that disappoint.
Opinions??

As I have already stated like a dozen times. I would rather keep 14 and trade/combine 26-30-47 (if necessary) to get another pick in the teens.
2 picks between 14-18 are far more likely to turn out better for Boston than all 3 for 1 player (top 10) or all 4 picks later on in the draft.

Hes one of a handful of guys I’m good with if we stay at 14. Excited about him long term but he def needs time to develop.

Yeah, expect a slow start from most-all rookies this year.
But on that note, any individual weakness like shooting or physical strength should have been addressed with the 7-8 months of time between their last College games.
In fact, the more I think about it, if a player hasn't made "real improvements by this time, he is either lazy or incapable. I want no part of that.

Terry is a smurf, we already have one of those in Tremont Waters. If we take a PG at least take one with size. Trade up for Haliburton or take a wing/big

We don’t need Terry at 14 if we are keeping the pick. Go big or wing.
I rather have Carsen Edwards over Terry. Edward needs to play PG like he did at Purdue.
I don’t think Edward and Waters can co exist on this team. Adding another undersized PG to this team wouldn’t be the best option, especially at 14.

Terry will take some time, his body isn’t nba ready. But he’s on a completely different level than Carsen and Waters. He’s going to be a very good scoring PG once he bulks up.
But that’s if we stay at 14, or try trading up with 26+30. My preference is trading up and getting Haliburton, or Kong.

He’s got serious swagger too. Love it.
Im still kinda on the Poku train. I cant think of a single similar NBA player to him right now. Its tantalizing me. If we can get him to gain 30-40 LBS, he could be amazing.

Really good talk with Mike Miller and RJ Hampton. I've been high on Hampton the whole time but hearing them both talk really makes me want to draft him. They both do a great job selling his work ethic, elite athleticsm, and improving jump shot and Mike Miller isn't just bullshitting about him. He's seen young guys in the league before.
One thing that stuck out was how RJ is 6'5" 192 lbs and can guard 1-3, whereas other guards in that tier like Kira Lewis, Tyrell Terry, and Cole Anthony all can only guard the 1 or 2 and in most cases only the 1. Sounds like an Ainge pick to me
