There were people who said they wanted to play the Bucks in the playoffs. Still feel that way?

I'm still cool with facing anyone in the playoffs...we'll win if we're good enough.

Bucks fans flexing and saying watch out Celtics like they just didn't get season-swept two weeks ago lol. This has "WE WANT BOSTON" vibes.

Wait until the Bucks realize this Cup win doesn't count because no Middleton.

Joe is right in going double big.

If it's Bucks vs. Celtics in the playoffs, going small won't work.

They’re two man team but we do a crappy job defending lillard. They don’t have great depth.

The shooting comes and goes, just like what's happening to OKC now.

OKC is just shooting 36% from the field and below 20% from the 3pt line.

Having no low post threat is something OKC is lacking.

Yeah, I prefer playing the Cavs over the Bucks.

Giannis will always be a problem, especially if Al is not available.

If we can’t beat the bucks that says a lot about the Celtics. Again stop lillard and let Giannis get his.

The thing is they have no depth. They have some length but i look at them and i don’t think they have many scorers. Oklahoma was downright terrible shooting 33 percent. That’s awful.

via Jimmy Traina:
ESPN announces that 91 year old Hubie Brown will call the final game of his career on Feb. 9 when the Sixers visit the Bucks.

Pretty fitting Hubie's calling the game between two over-the-hill teams. Congrats to Hubie for a long, storied career.

I love Hubie so much. It's time for him to go but what a loss.

My semi controversial take:

I liked the NBA cup. It was fun. Group stage games all felt more important, more intense. Point differential mattering made even blowouts more intriguing. I wanted the Celtics to make it, it gives your team a national spotlight for a few games mid season, which is fun. I watched the semi's and Finals and they were generally very good games, especially the finals.

It was a success this year, they should expand group stage to 8 games but otherwise it was great.

History hasn't been kind to NBA Cup winners. None of the previous NBA Cup winners have even gone past the 1st round of the real playoffs.
