I'd say this is bad news. If they pay those guys, then Hayward would feel obligated to stay.

Besides, even if I will give you horford, is rasheed really the next biggest fa to sign? Then it's really proving my point.

But then you're probably a typical angry fan, who can't see anything with any level of objectivity to prove or maybe want to believe the fake news in your favor. Denial isn't a bad thing if it helps you sleep better at night.

They weren't willing to pay him a max 5 year deal. The 5th year is what scared them

SO my bad. Should have looked up the details. But before him, it was who? Rasheed at the end of his career or even Shaq doesn't count as big time free agent.

The track record was awful before Horford. No question. A broken-down Nique is probably in the top-3. Yikes.

BUT, the Horford signing was big. It showed that a big name FA actually believed in what the Celtics are doing. Frankly, regarding the Celtics, the players today don't care about the pre-Brad Stevens days, let alone the pre-KG days. That's ancient history to a lot of these guys. So are our 17 titles. These guys don't care. It's all about what we can offer in terms of the organization, the coaching staff, the players and, overall, the chance at winning a title.

We're never going to be LA or Miami, destinations that are destinations in and of themselves. But we are a franchise that is considered by everyone who doesn't post on Realgm to be on the rise. KD gave us a real look, and only turned us down because he had a sure title waiting for him in GS. And we got an All-Star center who made our team better.

Who knows what'll happen over the next week but I for one am not concerned about what happened 5, 10 or 15 years ago.

Apart from incumbent Jazz, Knicks, Wolves, and Spurs all potential suitors for George Hill.

Hill is gonzo. There's a reason they traded up for Donovan Mitchell. They know Hill is walking

Prediction: Celtics get Paul George, Gerald Green's back for the minimum.

I don't agree with George but agree with G-Money's return.

Hayward remains the lone player that hasn't officially opted in/out.

Wow. Really? He should fire his agent for turning that down, unless he hates Salt Lake City that much

Hmm. Wonder who he refers to? What FA is bettrr than him? Curry? Durant? Westbrook?

I wouldn't say Hayward is a lot better.
