WIth all the stuff coming out now about the Flores case, do you think Belichik will get dragged into it (another stupid attack against him) or do you think he will be able to sit this one out? I'm already starting to see articles that are definitely geared toward making him try to look like a bad guy.

I know it's early, but what are your expectations for the Pats next season?
I see them winning a game or two in the playoffs, but still not quite there yet to go all the way.

I can see them go from winning a couple of Playoff matches, to going to the Super Bowl.
If they make it there, then it's anybody's game.

Can we start with whether or not they resign Jackson?
And if Judon is going to be good again?

I know offense gets a lot of attention but I honestly don’t know what to make of the vaporization of the defense against the Bills, and down the stretch generally.

For now: I hope they continue to get better. Winning the East seems less likely than winning a playoff game, but who knows at this point?

Hopefully they will sign him(JC)to an actual extension to make it easier to free up cap space for this year and retain him long term.

I don’t like franchising him unless it’s to trade him very quick for a 1 rd and get his tag $ off the books for free agency. In this scenario we’d almost have to draft a corner high which I’d be all for.

Defense I think will be fine judon too. Him and barmore not being at full strength hurt them as wel as corner depth.

Need to have a good draft NT/DT CB LT WR all needs LB too but we have tons of young ones who we need to start playing.

Bump

Pats not really too active in FA so far as suspected but that trade of shaq yuck.

Hope they somehow can get lael Collins and some sort of stopgap at corner. Maybe resign Trent if the price is right.

I haven't kept up with baseball like I used to, so I was wondering what the GM's opinion of the Sox signing Trevor Story. Basically, I guess what I am asking is "What's the story on Story?"

He’s good had a downish year last year but he was done with Colorado wanted out and they never traded him. He’ll hit 30ish dingers bat 260-280 and be good for the lineup.

Not sure where he’ll play in the field he’s not great defensively but certainly better than boegarts in that regard. Maybe a lil redundant but good nonetheless glad they made a signing.

I know this post was made before alot of the AFC moves were made but just to chime in, I see them missing the playoffs. At best they squeak in and lose in the first round again.

Pats acquire devante Parker from the dolphins. Traded away a 3rd round pick and received Parker and a fifth.

He’s got two years in his deal left at 5.5ish mail a year he’s still only 29.

I always liked Parker if he can stay healthy he should be a nice pickup for max. Hopefully he works out like the last dolphin receiver we traded for.

losses on D and OL seem big -- can they still defend, and run the ball? Those are the biggest Qs I've got, in addition to if this team actually has, like, coaches?

receivers are whatever, I think they 'trust' Mac more this year and we see bigger #s from him as a result, which is all sports radio cares about

put me down for an optimistic 10 wins, even if I just looked at their schedule and am only confident against NYJ, DET, CHI, and I guess MIN (Pats have the 9th toughest schedule on paper going into the season?).

ESPN is pushing idea that Mac Jones will suffer due to coaching changes. (As if having Belechek as head coach isn’t a huge advantage.) I like Josh McDaniels and don’t doubt he was a great mentor but much like Jason Tatum, Mac was really good from day 1. All the things he did well last year he was doing well in college and preseason. I think it might be truer for a raw talent like rookie Josh Allen out of college than for a more polished player like Mac. The team may struggle for many other reasons and Mac may not have a high ceiling, but I expect him to be as good and probably stronger than last season.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."
