I’ve alluded to this in a couple of posts, but they LOVE him.

I really do to. Such a great player. He'd fit perfectly. Shooting, passing, IQ, size (if he can add weight). Guy is going to be a stud..

At pick 14 the Boston Celtics pick Saddiq Bey, 6'8 Small forward out of Villanova
At pick 26 the Boston Celtics pick Tre Jones, 6'3 point guard out of Duke
At pick 30 the Boston Celtics pick Daniel Oturu, 6'10 power forward out of Minnesota
At pic 47 the Boston Celtics pick Xavier Tillman, 6'9 Center out of Michigan State

This draft check all the boxes for Boston. We get a 3 &D 6'8 wing shooter that hit on 45% of his 3 point shots, to groom to replace Hayward in Bey. We get a defensive minded point guard that hit on 36% of his 3 point shots, and (according to Tankathon) was only behind LaMelo Ball and Killen Hayes in assists, to groom to replace Kemba. We get a 6'10 bruiser that pulled down 11 boards, hit 36% from three point and blocked 2.5 shots a game in Oturu. This is our potential starting center in 1-2 years. We also get a 6'9 power forward / center that can block shots, grab boards, hit the 3 AND avg. 3.4 assists and 1.3 steals in Tillman.

This is what replaces Jovante Green, Brad Wannamaker, Semi Ojeyele, and Vinny Poirier.

I just realized Maxey is signed by Klutch Sports. Now I doubt we draft him.

So just curious, is this really just to fill out the junk spots /10 minute per game spots on the roster?
I'd like them to see if they can get a legit piece to contribute for a long time, not just ride the bench.
I guess the roster needs to be filled out, and I think ainge drafts for just that reason - temporary filler pieces.

Yah, I’m now out on him. He’ll be a great player, but Klutch despises Boston and is too good an agency that itll come back to **** us somehow if we draft him

I also read he’s not participating in the combine because he already knows where he is going.

Yeah I heard about that, he looks alright on his highlight package. Reminds me of a mix of Trae Young & Herro. Anyone on here know more about the kid ?

No, this has a three fold effect.
1) as you stated, it replaces all the junk we have on the roster, but actually gives us NBA talent on a bench to develop
2) It gives Brad options to plug and play that he didn't have with the junk bench
3) all four are in the same timeline to grow with Tatum, Brown, Smart, Timelord, G.Will and Langford. I truly think these guys could all be rotation pieces in a ten man rotation.

Celtics love him?

His jump shot form really scares me lol. It goes in but is just so whacky and not aesthetically pleasing at all

Not a fan to take him at 14 but would LOVE to package 26 and 30 to move up and get him. Doubt he'll still be there past 25

I’d love to grab one of Bey, Achiuwa or Smith at #14 and package 26 and 30 to slide up enough to grab Lewis or Terry.

As long as they don't draft any players who are undersized for their position and who are defensively questionable I am fine with whoever they draft. More size and athleticism in key positions would probably help.

I agree with you, on top of that his stock is rising.

Celtics have interviewed Tyrell Terry.

“Among other teams, Terry has met with the Celtics, Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia 76ers and Oklahoma City Thunder.”

I agree I might have worded that poorly, sorry! I meant that I doubt he’ll be there at 26 so they would need to package 26 and 30 to move up and pick him

Tyrell Terry is definitely moving into the lottery picture and this is good news for the Cs. Either as a pick or a trade asset the guy is a lethal shooter. It's an elite skill. If he's really 6'3", he's gonna rocket up the board.
