More realistic deals:
BOS in: DFS, Mills
BOS out: Brogdon
BKN in: #17 Beasley
BKN out: DFS, Mills
LAL in: Brogdon
LAL out: #17, Beasley
DFS gives you another guy who can play defense in the frontcourt. Mills backfills our PG as a sniper.
Brooklyn sell high on DFS and get #17, likely with the hope of moving up using one or both of their picks in the 20s. The Lakers upgrade from Beasley using #17.
Follow up:
BOS: Boucher
TOR: Pritchard, Gallo
C's follow up to get another big as depth behind Rob/Horford. Boucher is still a small-ball 5, but he can play next to Rob and he can fill the C position in a pinch.
Toronto has a gaping hole at PG and a plethora of PF's so they take a chance on PP and give him the kind of minutes he's looking for while also taking a flyer on Gallo (likely to be flipped at deadline if he has anything left in the tank that can net them a 2nd).
Smart/ Mills/ Davison
Brown/ White
Tatum/ Hauser
DFS/ Grant/ Boucher
Rob/ Horford/ Muscala
Stick at #35 and take best wing or big available. Buy back into the 2nd round for a euro stash ideally or just the 15th man on the bench (high upside guys like Vukcevic/Gueye).

I like it.
Basically, we lose Brogdon but get Finney-Smith who is similar in talent/ability but a much better fit, fills more of a positional need. Less of a ball stopper, lower usage guy, better defender.
We go from Gallo to Boucher. Boucher isn't as good of a shooter or passer, less dynamic offensively, but hopefully (perhaps with a change of scenery and on a team with better spacing) he can get his 3 pt % up a little more, closer to the 38% he shot a few yrs ago. Where Boucher has a clear edge over Gallo though is in terms of defense, rim protection and rebounding. Boucher is MUCH better in these areas. Boucher is 4 years younger than Gallo and is not coming off ACL surgery.
Let's be real here. There's a chance Gallo might be simply unplayable this season, if he is that bad defensively. He was already pretty bad defensively his last year with the hawks, that was 2 seasons ago when he was only 32 and before his 2nd ACL surgery.
Boucher with a 7'4" wingspan, rebounding % usually around 15 and blocks % typically higher than 4. These are good numbers. He could be a really solid backup at the 4 / small ball 5 slot. Who can hit some 3's here and there too. So this is probably a bit of an upgrade over Gallo.
And Toronto is probably open to moving Boucher, since they have Barnes/siakam/OG/Achiuwa (who can play the 4) and siakam/poeltl/achiuwa/koloko (who can play the 5). So they don't really need Boucher. And with Toronto looking to move VanVleet, they could be a team where Pritchard can have more of a role.
Then Mills is probably a little bit of an upgrade over Pritchard. Mills is a similar player to Pritchard, but Mills is simply a better player. More of a proven veteran. Mills has even won a ring! And he won't whine about not getting enough playing time! Where do I sign up for this?
So none of these are huge, earth shattering moves. But Brad is known more for hitting a bunch of singles, rather than going for the big home run. All 3 of these trades are singles - you add them up together and it could definitely put us over the top - especially with the hires we've made to beef up the coaching staff. Put it all together (and you've got yourself a stew, baby) and we could be champions a year from now.
Send this over to Brad!
Plus, we still have Grant, Hauser and Muscala for depth. This is a deep team, it's a slightly better team, with pieces that fit better together - more well balanced roster. I'd try to snag a wing with pick 35. Someone like Jordan Walsh or Sidy Cissoko.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything

Think I'm in on Ayton tbh. If this team wants it and isn't going to be trading any of the "core" then they should go big imo. Rob and Malcolm? Gallo, PP and Malcolm (if Phoenix wolf even do that)?

Not just Boston but it seems like the rumor are very thin going around the last day or 2 for the NBA... Less than 48 hours from the draft I was expecting at least a dozen fake rumors by now..
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

Cs need a starting PF.
41 assists to 15 turnovers in those 10 games.
Yes I would want him and Jericho Sims from the Knicks. Both of them need playing time. I also want Toppin's brother, if he goes undrafted.

I'm kinda with 165bows on DFS. I'd just take the LAL return and cut BKN out and resign Grant instead, personally.
I'm agonostic on the other one. Have liked Boucher for a while, but I also feel like I wanna see Gallo.

PP for 2 2nds is something I'd entertain (assuming no other offers) by then.
CHA with 2 of 34, 39, 41 but if they go Scoot, they really don't need him. Even with Miller they already have 4 PGs. But, who knows?
Maybe DEN with 37 & 40.

Me too, if Brogdon is part of it the cost isn't even that different. Ayton with a change of scenery is more likely to increase his stock over time than Brogdon off of 6th man of the year. You could also l let Grant Williams walk or sign and trade for a cheaper veteran if you still have horford, timelord, with ayton.

This is the thing with trading Brogdon, if you're just taking back a pick and drafting a guy it feels like we're downshifting rather than pushing to get over the hump. So if we are intent on moving Brogdon I want to bring back a player who shakes things up for us and can contribute to winning next season. I'm fine downshifting if they're going to do it in a major way to avoid Jaylen's supermax, but not so keen if we're keeping the band together and just tweaking.

Was low key playing with some of these ideas. Still kind of want Kawhi if they want Brogdon and a sign and traded Grant and some backup centers and some late picks that’s the answer to all our problems, the right 45 games of Kawhi Leonard.

That would be a steal for Clippers. Madness for Portland for considering it
From what I have read, they seem to have a hard time dealing #3 for a serious difference maker. I spose I wouldnt like to move Brown for Simons and #3, so it makes sense other teams are also reluctant unless they are tearing down to rebuild

Brogdon & Hauser to the Knicks.
Fournier & Toppin to Boston.
Or some such iteration of Brogdon & for Fournier & Toppin.
A variation of an earlier B Robb trade.

I agree on the Brogdon part, much rather upgrade than get a pick. I’m just meh on DFS and Grant as a combo. And splitting Brogdon into DFS & Mills doesn’t constitute that upgrade to me. But, I get the idea.
