He is probably a Sun

You're probably right. Seemed like him and KD had some good chemistry last season in Brooklyn. And we all know KD is a good recruiter. Him and Lebron are the best in the business.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

I assume Harden in Philly and Kyrie in Dallas really have no choice but to sign with their currents teams.

There are two players that don't scare me one bit. Kyrie and Harden. Whatever team wants to sign those guys to huge contracts.....have at it

Twitter has been all about Kyrie to the Celtics. So if anyone wonders why they always find themselves back to the board, think about that.

Really? You didn't consider JB for Harden when that was going around? I thought it sounded pretty tempting to pair JT and Harden. They'd feast esp with Tatum acquiring court vision.

That was when he was in Houston before he forced his way out. Completely different player now.

Eh. Maybe. But there were many times last season where we had no rim protector on the floor. Rob missed over half the season and played low mins even when healthy.

Obviously adding KP helps, but he is also injury prone. There will be times when neither of them is on the floor.

Also, Brogdon's defense last season not only hurt us when he got beat off the dribble, but also just in terms of leaving shooters open. Having a rim protector doesn't help that. We can have the best rim protector in the world, but if Brogdon is too slow to react, not quick enough sliding his feet out on the perimeter, doesn't bust his tail enough defending out on the perimeter, we'll continue to give up open looks from 3. How many times last season did we all yell at our TV screens "no! Why did we leave that shooter so open?!" It was often times Brogdon's fault..sometimes JB..this especially killed us during the MIami series, when MIami shot the lights out to beat us.

As Kristaps Porziņģis is introduced Thursday and free agency opens 24 hours later, Brad Stevens and the front office continue actively exploring trade opportunities, according to league sources. After trading Marcus Smart, Boston still has a potential need for playmaking, depending on how the Malcolm Brogdon situation shakes out after a deal to trade him to the Clippers fell apart last week.

Then there is Grant Williams’ restricted free agency, as the Celtics weigh whether to keep someone who can fill an important role long-term as the frontcourt’s hustle guy. Al Horford can still do that to a degree this upcoming season, but players’ activity levels and aggression tend to drop off dramatically in their late 30s.

Jordan Walsh will eventually be able to help bring the kind of physical perimeter defense that was a big part of Williams’ role, team sources expect him to need some time to jump into that spot on a contending team.

With the Celtics expected to agree to a two-year contract extension with Porziņģis on July 6 that can pay him up to $77 million, matching a Williams offer sheet will make it incredibly hard to stay out of the second apron for the coming years once the team makes its likely supermax offer to Jaylen Brown.

Is that even possible? An opt-out after 3 years and team option on 4?

I think the C's would definitely be interested in that

I still think Brad is going to offer less and if Jaylen won't accept, he will trade him. He can still get 5/250 which I think is reasonable for Jaylen

Still to much

5-240 is the max I go.

Thats 5 years
30% of the cap
5% raises

Anything more is just irresponsible. And it is still incredibly debateable if even keeping him on the team at all is responsible.
