Re: What now?
Long time lurker, first time poster! Disappointing from KD but still - I agree with the consensus, stick to the next best plan of pulling a prospect out of next years draft, look potentially at FA options on a 1 year deal to tie us over for this season. Someone else stated could be sink or swim for guys like RJ, Rozier, Hunter, Mickey etc. This could be as good a time as any to really assess them on the court.

Other players I'd be interested in signing:
Dewayne Dedmon
Meyers Leonard
Moe Harkless
Terrence Jones
Zaza Pachulia

welcome!
yeah, no need to panic and moan. KD would have been a coup but we were always a longshot, and it didn't happen. that doesn't mean the plan isn't working, just means we got to stick with it a bit longer.

KD coming here was less of a longshot than Silver giving us a pick worth ****. We're the Hawks now.

I'd wager Harden is now likely available for a reasonable price. That Houston team is so far away from a title now, they may look to shake it up.

maybe we're as good as the hawks at this very moment, but we've got way more young talent, at least one lottery pick coming for the next two years, and cap space. not to mention one of the best coaches in the L.
saying we're where the hawks are as a franchise is seriously shortsighted.

I'll say it- I take a flyer on DWade for a year. We need scoring -he's old and injury prone but he can score.

Re: What now?
^^ meh, panic move, no thanks.
we don't have to win this year. just keep building our core, keep developing young guys, and keep a lookout for ways to improve. we should be in the 50-55 win range this year. not title worthy, but nobody is beating the cavs/warriors anyways. just make sure we have cap space and assets in 2017.

I've said that during the Horford sweepstakes, when it was rumored they were interested and just lost out on resigning Howard.
That Rockets team may be bottom 5 in the West now.
Can see Harden being in play soon...

I like Harkless too. I used to like Jones but I'm not sure why he hardly played last year. He would be decent too.
Ezili possibly.

I'd be interested in Harden, he should age well. Don't like his attitude though, hes kinda a loser.

Re: What now?
As of right now with the current roster, this team will play a lot of small ball with they want to do. We will see a lot of Crowder, Brown and Horford at the 3,4,5 positions.
Bentil should get some playing time too. He can play. Then there is Mickey. We can also resign Amir and play Zizic. We have dept. Sully and KO have had there chances.
Bentil should beat out the pump fake machine for playing time.

Except we will NEVER be given a lottery pick of value. NEVER. So we have 2 borderline allstars and little else. Treadmill

We've had lottery picks of value two out of three years.

We've had reports on like 11 different teams but nothing on the Celtics. Ainge is probably still recovering from shock that Durant told him the Book of Mormon was a great musical.
