Also, primary hyperaldosteronism exists on a mild to severe clinical spectrum, & milder forms of hyperaldosteronism not readily diagnosed with currently accepted diagnostic criteria may account for a significant percentage of people with so called essential hypertension (what Dr. John Laragh @ Columbia labeled low renin essential hypertension more than 50 years ago.)

Ex...your medical posts literally confuse the **** out of me. Lmao. I’m no rocket scientist, but I’ve done ok for myself. However, I read these posts at least 10 times trying to see if I can decipher what the **** they are all about. I usually have my IPad up while reading and my phone in hand searching words in Google. It’s a compliment by the way. Not busting your balls.

BOTTOMLINE:
1. There are a **** load of people with hypertension primarily the result of excess amounts of the adrenal mineralocorticoid hormone aldosterone.
2. The vast majority are not being diagnosed because 1) the current screening diagnostic criteria (including the aldosterone/renin ratio = ARR) are not being utilized by most of the primary care physicians caring for the tens & tens & tens of millions of people with hypertension; AND 2) the current screening diagnostic criteria “may” be too stringent to diagnose milder/earlier forms of the disease (see above). In other words, only patients at the very tip of the iceberg are being referred to endocrinologists after screening to lock in/confirm the diagnosis & then recommend appropriate therapy (medical including aldosterone antagonists like aldactone or eplerenone and/or in some cases surgical resection of an aldosterone producing adrenal adenoma).

Just google Primary Hyperaldosteronism or “aldosterone excess” if you want to better understand the rudiments.

If you want to get blown away, try scanning through this.

So too much aldosterone and too much sodium retention? Is that the link? What does it mean for normal aldosterone driven water reabsorption?

Yes.
Pathological aldosterone elevations lead to excessive salt & thence secondary water retention by the renal DT + CD leading to hypertension.
Hypertension not adequately treated leads to CV disease, NV disease & renal disease.
Excessive aldosterone also binds to cardiac receptors causing direct damage.

Aldosterone normally is an essential modulator of salt & water homeostasis.

Lmao. What a teaser. Details man?!

I'm just too **** radiantly swagged right now for my own good.

I have like five rotating girls lusting after me at all times the past four months, a fair amount of guys trying to do something as well. Everywhere I go, whether a bar, restaurant, or a **** Overwatch League watch party someone slips me their number. I keep mixing up people and ghosting other people accidentally. People don't even care anymore, I went on a date with two of the girls I'm seeing the other night and no one was jealous. Random girls I'm just close friends with have been messaging me random flirty stuff and asking me to fly out to visit them for dumb/flirty reasons. I'm trying to just see this one girl I have actual feelings for but she has a boyfriend who happens to be a co-worker of one of my closest friends, who is a jacked up Philly meathead that could probably kill me and seems to hate me without even knowing what is going on. Also idk if I'm doing the ethical thing being the other guy like that. She says she's going to leave him but idk. On top of all of this, my best friend is convinced I **** his ex while they were together when I didn't do anything of the sort, but he's been such a **** about things recently that I started hanging out with her a ton as a friend and now I have an incredible wing-woman that is bringing me/going to bring me even more girls.

Normally I just date/hook up with people occasionally like everyone else but I can't really say no to all of this. I'm just so tired all the time and constantly texting people.

I'm not even doing anything. I haven't been working out any more than usual. Dressing the same way I always have. I just have some sort of inherent BDE right now for no particular reason.

As I was typing all of this one of the models in Michael Rubin/Meek's (not sure which as they were mixed up) crew I gave my card to last night hit me up, smh.

Is this what all of my early 30s will be like, lol?

I think I shared the video below a while ago. I keep coming back to it, am not sure I've ever heard a better singing voice in my life.

But the important thing is that this is a small, small, small world. See one of the comments under this video on YouTube:

If Tom Segura is performing stand up in your town go see him. The material he is working through right now is fantastic. His next special should be killer

Run with it man. So strange. Had this conversation yesterday with some guy I had just met. I’m going to be 41 and if I could go back to any age at all, it’d be 31-32. **** your 20’s. You’re in your prime man. Having swag on top of that, and you’re going to have an amazing next few years. I’ll live through you, as I settled back down again after 4 years of single life.

I'm not a Breeders or Pixies fan (well, at least not enough to own a record or go to a show), but I do like some of their songs. I like Tanya Donelly's band (Belly) much more, have some of their records and attended a show of theirs in Boston back in the early 90's.

Loving the “Joker” trailer. I loved Man of Steel and BVS and don’t care for the more jokey comic book movies. Just not my thing. I was never interested in comic stories. I just liked the artwork but I enjoyed those movies that took themselves seriously. So I have never understood why people love the Joker so much.
This movie looks like it could be great aside from all that superhero stuff. Joaquin Phoenix is just a mesmerizing talent to me.

Yeah, possibly unpopular opinion but I'm definitely not a fan. It reads like Falling Down (one of Michael Douglas' underrated roles) wearing makeup. I don't see anything unique or interesting about it. Painting the Joker as a pitiable character just seems counter-intuitive to me.

Anyone listen to Joe Rogan Experience? I only recently started listening but I enjoy it. This one with Kevin Hart is pretty good. Kevin is a pretty amazing person. Cool to hear how he came from nothing and also how prepares for a 1 hour stand up special.

I can’t wait. Phoenix is brilliant. Interesting comparison to Falling Down BR. I disagree and think it’ll be amazing but I could be proven wrong.

"Falling Down" is such an underrated film; extremely insightful look into society and how many people feel, yet aren't freaking crazy enough to carry **** out, even 25+ years later.

I don’t think it’s unpopular. I expect this movie will be really hated by maybe half of the viewers. Some of that will be because it’s not the interpretation of the character they want. Others will be Marvel fans in that ridiculous nerd war. I thought if “ Falling Down” as well. Being someone that doesn’t enjoy comic stories, and not knowing 95 percent of them, I can’t help but go in without as many or certain expectations. So I’m good with it not being an interpretation I’m aware of. I just want a good movie without a lot of quips and jokes.

I feel a ton of Taxi Driver when I watch. Right down to the setting. And Scorsese worked pretty closely with Phillips on this, from what I’ve read.

Joe Rogan is one of my favorite celebrities. I love his thirst to learn. When he disagrees with someone he often starts with,” I could he wrong but..” So many people could learn a lesson from him in how they talk/ debate with people ( IMO).
