All I've seen is fluff. And the following.:

Read on Twitter

If Kyrie re-signs it'll be out of nowhere. There's a ton of smoke that says he's not coming back, the new agent is just the latest. Even Ainge didn't sound like he was at all confident he's coming back, and this is a guy that said they were "engaged" a few months back.

Absent Kyrie actually coming out and saying that he's gone.
I've got to stick with what he actually did say.

You are just in denial. Like others have said, there is too much smoke for these rumors not to be true. Kyrie is going to sign with the Knicks, the Nets, AND the Lakers.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Damn, signing with 3 teams is going to take a heavy toll on Kyrie.

Resign Rozier

Roll out this rotation.

Rozier/Smart
Tatum/Brown/Hayward
Horford/Theis (if either of these guys come back)
Baynes/Williams

There is your rotation. Should be good for about 30-35 wins.

Whats next for the Celts assuming Kyrie is gone?

Post#186 » by jfs1000d » Thu Jun 13, 2019 1:46 pm

Trade for AD. If that doesn’t go, run it back by getting a PG to replace Kyrie. Something temporary I figure it out and peruse market.

Turn team over to Tatum/Jaylen/Hayward .

A Rubio or Conley isn’t bad.

Lol. That team is probably 50 wins if healthy. Gotta get a better PG than Rozier IMo.

Plus add in draft picks. I would think around 47-49 wins if they are reasonably healthy and go down this option while perhaps getting some reasonable Morris replacement that is a better interior player than Morris even if the team gives up his perimeter shooting.

This years Celtics team had an expected win total of 52 games based upon their point differential for the year.

Kyrie did affect the chemistry of the team, and not in a positive way. If he does come back, how will that be addressed? Like everyone else, I have been playing out scenarios in my head. I can't say that I am enthusiastic about an AD trade if it means giving up premium assets for what might be a one year rental, and I wonder if the ownership is all on board with that. As for Kyrie, not sure that the team would be worse if he departs. In part it depends on who else we bring to the team through trades or free agent signings.

Woj said on Get Up that the sense he got was Kyrie's old agent wanted him to stay in Boston.

Reload's info is off the charts good

Too many posts about this change in agents meaning he's going to Brooklyn. ROC Sports has players on about 11 different teams and I believe they only represent one Nets player, Caris Levert.

The problem with this logic is that who changes agents, especially when agent is childhood friend, to resign with your current team? I never understood why guys who are re-signing with their team don't fire their agents first and save the commission. Maybe that is what Irving is doing.

I thought agents were paid percentages of total salary, not one-time signing commissions. That's how they do it in Hollywood.

I don't pay at ton of attention to this stuff but last I understood it they got a percentage of a signed contract as a player's agent. It isn't one time but the commission is paid out over the life of the contract. So right now Rich Paul is working for free until he can land Davis a contract.

Terry Rozier is a top 5 PG in the NBA. Just ask Terry Rozier he'll tell you he's a top guy.

That basic team minus Hayward was a coupe bad bounces from the finals in 2018.

East is better now. These teams are better than the Celtics

Raps
Bucks
Nets
Sixers
Pacers
Magic (possibly)

Celtics will be fighting for a 8th seed.

I'm so sick of hearing about "that team" almost made the finals. Yes, but it's in the past and it won't happen again with "that team."
